Off-Campus Dining

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are multiple pizza places along the strip. This includes one that just opened in the fall, making around 5 different stores within a 1 mile radius. It is very outrageous and inconvenient. Vey few places have a discount and it is probably a 2:1 ratio of fast food chains to privately own restaurants. The costs are reasonable for the service and food that you get. The best places to check out are probably Gus's and Cookout, if you love eating unhealthy.

Off-Campus Dining: food at UT just needs to change

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining options are ideal for those that live off campus but they are still a tad on the pricey side. There are also very few of them, which is unfortunate, and barely give out student discounts.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Seems to be pretty diverse while still having the essentials.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of good options on the strip, but you will find yourself going to Cookout more often than you'd think

The Strip is a convenient place to enjoy a meal with friends. They have good variety, reasonable prices, and usually aren’t extremely busy. Very few cities of comparable size boast the dining prowess of Knoxville. The restaurant business generally has a 50 percent failure rate, but in Knoxville, restaurant buildings do not stay vacant long. Consequently, there is a great variety that caters to every taste.

Your choices will not be solely of franchises due to the many superb mom-and-pop eateries. This all stems from Knoxville’s love of good food and great atmosphere paired with a low cost of living. The Strip has much to offer, but when you are ready for something different, branching out will offer much more.
