4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: There are many off campus apartments to choose from, and the price and quality depend mainly on location.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants in Hattiesburg but you do have to drive to them. The prices and food depend on where you go, but overall there's a variety of food options.

3 College Freshman

Administration: Overall there are your basic rules but some things are more strict than others.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: If you're into party then the fraternities and sororities are where you wanna be. There's always some kind of date-party or house party going on. Overall the parties are great. There are multiple bars throughout Hattiesburg as well.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The financial aid process was easy and the people in the Kennard-Washington hall are very nice and helpful if you run into any problems.

1 College Freshman

Campus Food: The Fresh is your main option and it is the most unhealthy and unprocessed food I've ever eaten. You really don't have any other choice unless you have bonus bucks or money to spend at the other places like Chick-Fil-A and Subway.

Campus Housing: It would be better if we had more food options. There's mainly the Fresh that serves highly processed and very unhealthy foods. The only other options you have are Seymore's (Chick-Fil-A and Subway) and the Agora (Einstein's Bagels and a chipotle style restaurant), but you only get a certain amount of bonus bucks to spend at these places. Overall living is nice if you are able to get into Century Park North or South but the guest policy is very strict. The roommate matching process is very good and the actual living spaces are nice (again if you can get into Century Park).

Off-Campus Housing: I would never live off campus with the school I am right now. Most of friends have gotten rob and you go through a lot trouble just to get in your complex. The pro is you can have guest. Two complexes have shuttle buses that take you to and from the school every 30 mins. The availability of living of campus is slim to none. The lost is very expensive for you to have live where the past guest messed up the carpet. The safety is also terrible and when things get stolen they do not help to find out who is the blamed. The school does help with the off campus living.

Off-Campus Dining: We have a lot different off campus objects. Mostly every where you go you will get a discount on certain items and certain shops. The cost are a little pricy but the discount helps a lot. The variety of choices is by far the best.

Administration: The school I attend is very strict on security. You have to slide your ID everywhere you go and you can only have guest at a certain hour. Your guest has to stay with you at all times. A lot students complain about the dorm rules because most colleges do not have dorm hours but it does not bother me.

Party Scene: We only had two clubs. The clubs in the beginning were the best but towards the end of my freshman year I realized I wanted to transfer to a more settle school and a school with more activities and better atmosphere on campus.

3 Recent Alumnus

Scholarships: I had to go through a lot of step but I ended up receiving all the money I needed. My school was very patient and very helpful through this process.

Campus Food: We have chick fil a and subway. They were really good when we first arrived on campus but it became tiring and now i can not even look at a subway or chicken nuggets anymore

Campus Housing: Living on campus is very convenient. I love the small space. I love the people I have met during my first year of college, anytime I did not have something my neighbors had it. The campus I live on is very neat and very strict on security. I have always been able to get the extra help I need downstairs in the lobby of my dorm. It is very convenient when it comes to gas. I only leave campus maybe one time a week. I have a meal plan that I can eat unlimited times a day is very convenient as well.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Depending on how much you want to pay is how safe and close to campus you will be.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Since I am from a small town, eating off campus has so many options.

4 College Freshman

Administration: USM is an all around great school and the administrators are always out to help.

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: USM is a small enough school where you know the people you see out, but its big enough that you don't see the same people all the time. Make friends with a few frat boys and you'll have a great party life.

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: I got a nice scholarship from the university plus the loans they offer.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Food on campus is great as long as you stay away from the fresh. The Agora, Stones Throw, Powerhouse, Hillcrest and Seymours are great!

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: For my first move out of my parents house USM was a great choice. I love the dorms.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I feel like I can get a job after graduation.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: UPD is great and makes me feel safe.

4 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greeks only make up a small percent of students, but are very involved on campus.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I still live on campus, and I do not know what is like to live anywhere else.
