Overall Experience: I love my school. My favorite experience was my first semester there. We did this thing called GEWW week that was a way for freshman to get involved and meet people before school starts. They showed us around the school and answered any questions we had.

Overall Experience: My experience at Southern Miss was an okay one. I just feel like I had better options that I could have taken advantage of. Southern Miss doesn't seem like a very good fit for me. They only seem to be concerned with money and not the quality of the education being provided. If I could do it all over again, I would not even apply to this school. I would have picked Mississippi State.

Overall Experience: The school is determined to make money so if you don't lock in your courses then when they change the catalog year, you will be forced to take more classes to graduate.

Overall Experience: The staff is very helpful and nice, advisors actually get things done and are very informative, teachers are helpful in things you need to know for their class as well as future classes, the atmosphere is very inviting, no one talks down and no one is condescending towards you

Overall Experience: I have currently went to two different junior colleges on the coast and I am attending USM in August. I believe the reason why schools on the Coast are so popular is because they feel like home. When I attended JCJC my freshman year I traveled away from home. In this time I became friends with great people and had the one of my life. This junior college was super popular. People from all around the state and out of the stage decided to attend this school. It had a beautiful campus. I would recommend this school to anyone who asked about it. However, I decided to move home my sophomore year because of a job I got near home. I really noticed that MGCCC was tough. Academic wise it was much harder for me. I cannot wait to attend USM in the fall. The campus is gorgeous and is close to home. I find myself staying on the coast due to its beauty and homeliness.

Overall Experience: Southern Miss for me has been one of the best choices I have ever made. I was able to find a place in which I found great new friends, a fraternity where I found great brothers, and a challenging academic atmosphere that is set up for me to succeed later on in life. I had a bit of doubt entering my freshman year that I had not made the right choice in college, but once I started my first semester, I knew immediately that I had made the best choice I could have made. If I had to go through the whole process again, I undoubtedly would choose Southern Miss again.

Overall Experience: As of right now, I only went to school at Hinds Community College in 2013 and will be attending University of Southern Mississippi in fall 2015. This means my rating is for Hinds Community College and not Southern.

Overall Experience: I enjoyed my time at Southern Miss, I only wish my advisor and other teachers would acknowledge that testing is not the most appropriate way to know if a student understands the material given in class. I think alternate ways of giving grades should be exercised.

Campus Housing: I have never seen such a finely built dorm.

Campus Food: The food is okay in the fresh. The breakfast is always good and so is the salad and pizza. The food isn't always fresh and can sometimes be cold. The meal plan is very expensive and not worth buying because the food isn't worth the amount we pay for the meal plan. Bonus bucks are good and I like that I can add more if I run out.

Off-Campus Housing: There are many off campus apartments to choose from, and the price and quality depend mainly on location.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many restaurants in Hattiesburg but you do have to drive to them. The prices and food depend on where you go, but overall there's a variety of food options.

Administration: Overall there are your basic rules but some things are more strict than others.

Party Scene: If you're into party then the fraternities and sororities are where you wanna be. There's always some kind of date-party or house party going on. Overall the parties are great. There are multiple bars throughout Hattiesburg as well.

Scholarships: The financial aid process was easy and the people in the Kennard-Washington hall are very nice and helpful if you run into any problems.

Campus Food: The Fresh is your main option and it is the most unhealthy and unprocessed food I've ever eaten. You really don't have any other choice unless you have bonus bucks or money to spend at the other places like Chick-Fil-A and Subway.

Campus Housing: It would be better if we had more food options. There's mainly the Fresh that serves highly processed and very unhealthy foods. The only other options you have are Seymore's (Chick-Fil-A and Subway) and the Agora (Einstein's Bagels and a chipotle style restaurant), but you only get a certain amount of bonus bucks to spend at these places. Overall living is nice if you are able to get into Century Park North or South but the guest policy is very strict. The roommate matching process is very good and the actual living spaces are nice (again if you can get into Century Park).

Off-Campus Housing: I would never live off campus with the school I am right now. Most of friends have gotten rob and you go through a lot trouble just to get in your complex. The pro is you can have guest. Two complexes have shuttle buses that take you to and from the school every 30 mins. The availability of living of campus is slim to none. The lost is very expensive for you to have live where the past guest messed up the carpet. The safety is also terrible and when things get stolen they do not help to find out who is the blamed. The school does help with the off campus living.

Off-Campus Dining: We have a lot different off campus objects. Mostly every where you go you will get a discount on certain items and certain shops. The cost are a little pricy but the discount helps a lot. The variety of choices is by far the best.

Administration: The school I attend is very strict on security. You have to slide your ID everywhere you go and you can only have guest at a certain hour. Your guest has to stay with you at all times. A lot students complain about the dorm rules because most colleges do not have dorm hours but it does not bother me.

Party Scene: We only had two clubs. The clubs in the beginning were the best but towards the end of my freshman year I realized I wanted to transfer to a more settle school and a school with more activities and better atmosphere on campus.
