Campus Food: I was completely satisfied with the food, it had enough variety for me and it was always good. Also I cannot imagine how much better it is going to be once the new University Village is built!

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: I liked the variety. And even the worst options were still good.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Food: There is a huge variety of food options on campus. The three traditional dining halls are great but can get monotonous if you constantly eat at just one. With unlimited swipes at the dining halls, it is easy to mix it up by going to different dining halls. The Campus Center offers lots of yummy options as well, from Lemonade to Seeds to Panda Express to CPK to Nektar juice bar, which dining dollars can be used for! I loved having dining dollars so that I never got bored.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I think the food was okay. I'm not very picky so it was fine.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Dining halls start of strong and progressively get worse throughout the semester. Also, the food served for days with organized parent visits is great, but not reflective of what they actually serve. Meal plans are expensive, and although dining dollars are the best option, there are not too many places they can be used at.

Campus dining receives more positive feedback than negative, depending on where you go. Convenience plays a big part in on-campus dining, and you are never too far from the nearest place to eat. The food at EVK is never very healthy or tasty, but servings are enormous, and the food is very consistent, while Parkside serves a variety of foreign foods and food with different ingredients than people are used to. Meal plans that allow for freedom of discretion are considered to be the best. Most students in New and North Residential Colleges eat at EVK, but some people make the cross-campus trek to Parkside, which many view as the better dining hall. Most students in apartments cook food and order out on a regular basis. Everyone else varies between deliveries and campus dining.

The great lunch secret on campus is at the Galen Center behind Heritage Hall. Most think it’s specifically for athletes or just don’t even know it’s there, but anyone can eat there during lunch. You can only use your discretionary account, but it’s more than worth it. The booths are big and comfortable, and there are large screen televisions all around with baseball games and live ESPN feeds. The food is the best part, with dishes ranging from turkey wraps to hefty taco salads. If you are looking for a quick bite to eat between classes, try the Tutor Café or Popovich Café for a variety of healthy and delicious sandwiches.
