Greek Life: People in the Greek system seem pretty happy to be there, but I as a non-Greek don't have much interaction with Greek life at USC, even though the school is famous for it.

Overall Experience: USC is one of a kind

Health & Safety: We are improving in degree of safety, but I think we can improve a lot more still. At night there are yellowjackets on a lot of intersections around the school to help keep students safe when a lot of us live off campus. Crime is still around. Bikes get stolen by the truckload. I have not personally seen many cases of sexual assault.

Overall Experience: The education at this school is quality. It is very possible to find a supportive group of friends to party or study or be artsy or do whatever you want. The professors are highly qualified and accessible. There are many educational resources at this school to help you succeed. Class sizes are terrible for intro classes, but become small with higher level of education and specificity.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: There are a lot of companies that recruit on campus, but that could always be improving. I am confident that the Trojan family will be of help when I graduate.

Campus Housing: It is expensive, but you get quality. Security is good at the dorms, and maybe even annoying if you want to bring too many guests. The places are kept clean, and depending on which dorm you choose, there can be a very fun social atmosphere. They do a lot of dorm activities that do not receive so much attention. Proximity to classes is best of course in the dorms. They only have campus housing guaranteed for freshmen, and most upperclassmen move off campus.

Greek Life: There are a lot of frats and sororities, so technically it is easy to get into a frat in general. However, the presence of Greek Life is concentrated among a few frats and sororities that dominate the party scene. The parties are grandiose and frequent. This is a good place for people who want to get involved in Greek Life.

That does not mean you have to be in a frat; the majority of the school is still non-Greek. It is very easy to party and have a good time without being in a frat or sorority.

3 College Junior

Athletics: They try to keep machines, weights, and facilities in great condition, but overcrowding is the biggest problem. The problem is abated by very small workout rooms in the apartment complexes where students live.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Classes are well taught and resources are innumerable. Professors are excellent and are perfect for their jobs. While class registration and course plans are sometimes confusing or inconvenient, I am confident that the education we receive will be useful in my career. I would like for the school to improve even more the help one can get at the career center.

Overall Experience: Great academics at USC. Class size is small and intimate, professors know you by your name. Grading is relatively similar from class to class however your professor can have a significant impact on the grade you receive.

Overall Experience: Marshall School of Business constantly sends out email blasts of potential jobs/internships as well as hosts job fairs for students to participate in. The Trojan family is a real thing; USC alums come looking for fellow Trojans to work for them which is great.

Campus Housing: Living in Parkside has its perks such as the food and amenities however the social environment is lacking which is unfortunate.

Greek Life: Greek life is huge and can be fun if you are a part of it. The rush process is long, difficult and competitive.

Overall Experience: The first year of the part time MBA program is very demanding. A lot i expected of you and a lot of work is thrown at you. The core courses are great, but there is not much time to let it all sink in. Midterms and finals come every 2-3 weeks and itm is very fast paced.

The professors are very knowledgeable and try to teach as much as they can in a very short time period.

I enjoy the in-class activities the most where you break into small groups with classmates. These activities are the most engaging and I feel I learn a lot from these types of experiences.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have not used the career resources yet since I am only in my first year. I hear that the career services department is great and many companies come to USC to recruit.

4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel very safe on campus. The area around the school is less safe and USC is always sending updates if and when an event occurs to keep everyone abreast. USC takes care in protecting its students.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: USC Marshall, especially in the first year, is where classmates are encouraged to bond and get to know each other. To facilitate this there are many social events including a class trip to Vegas, tailgates, etc. USC really cares about fostering its strong network and really gets students to strengthen the USC family. I enjoy USC as I feel I am part of something greater than me. I know that just by attending, if have a network of people who will care and look out for my well being. It is a comforting feeling.

Athletics: The USC Trojans football team has a long history of success and football is a huge part of what makes USC great. It brings people together from current students, alumni, professors and faculty. It has a huge impact on the social life at USC football games create a lot of excitement and bonding opportunities

Health & Safety: Located in South Central, USC is not in the best neighborhood, but walking on/near campus you do not feel that way at all. There are security guards constantly patrolling the area, and on every block for a blocks outside of campus. There are security measures to get into dorm buildings and IDs needed to get onto campus after 9pm. I have never felt unsafe.

Students from Southern California usually love USC from the beginning and strengthen their bonds with the school as time passes. Students who travel to USC from longer distances tend to adapt more slowly, dealing at first with the culture shock that inevitably comes with a first impression of LA. Universally, those who can survive the transition into the USC way of life fall in love with the school after first semester. Typically, students entering school with a skeptical mind-set ends up getting the most pride out of being a Trojan. At the very least, they come away with a new affinity toward college football.

The opportunities on campus are plentiful, and in LA, opportunities are endless. Time flies for everyone at USC, and changes in living conditions, academic standards, and career goals come quicker than newcomers might expect. USC graduates are sure to look back on a college experience that could not have been offered anywhere else. Basically, the more that students are willing to explore the opportunities available to them, the more they endorse the idea that USC is the perfect school for its time and place.
