Greek Life: I am not in a sorority. My personal opinions are from an outsider's perspective. It seems a bit superficial around The University. I feel that at other schools, sororities are more involved in charity work. Carolina does however offer charity based sororities. I can also say from my personal encounters with sorority girls, that some of them have been completely down to earth.

Athletics: Strom Thurmond wellness center is one of my favorite places on the campus. I previously mentioned the student population was extremely school spirited. In fact, the first few weeks of school, there are many sports games that students can attend for points. The more points you accumulate, the better your chances are to get a free student ticket to the football game. Every time you stay until the end of a football game, you earn a bonus point.

Overall Experience: I completely recommend the University of South Carolina as a top choice for graduating seniors' potential colleges. I fell in love with everything about the school. The learning experience was much more enjoyable than in high school: the teachers are more passionate, extremely knowledgable on the details of various subjects, and the classroom setting itself is much engrossing. There's no need to mention the immense amount of school spirit here. I will finally add that the campus is beautiful, the ideal size, and, the weather is impeccable.

Health & Safety: At night you don't really wanna be walking alone so much, but it is safe. You will feel kinda worried.

Overall Experience: Finding jobs/internships are not difficult, but it is what you put into the search for the job.

Campus Housing: Living in the city is gonna be expensive, but if you get an apartment off campus or house it's better. The only issue after that is parking on campus.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life is a great way to meet new friends and get involved with school events.

Athletics: The Athletic facility at the University of South Carolina is huge, and it's located right on campus. It's literally awesome.

Overall Experience: The University of South Carolina has a very large campus and it is easy to get lost, but overall if you ask around you can find your way around.

Health & Safety: USCPD does everything in their power to ensure a safe campus.

We have a shuttle that goes to five points and the vista at night to discourage drunk driving.

We also have carolina shuttle that we take you within five miles of campus.

We have night/late night to encourage students and faculty to be safe and not walk alone at night.

We have emergency boxes around campus that are on every street in the event of emergency.

We have an app that if you are walking you can put in your destination and it'll guide you there and connect you to USCPD if anything goes wrong or you don't reach your destination in your set time.

USCPD is helpful and kind in so many ways. It's hard to be on this campus and not know Sgt Adams

Overall Experience: There are always employers on campus. The career center is very helpful with interview and resume prep.

The school has a career fair each fall and most colleges have their own career fair in the spring.

Campus Housing: They are renovating a residence hall each year. Right now the best quality i would say is Patterson. Next to that would be the quads

Greek Life: Greek life is what you make it. I can't say its easy to get it but I can't say it's hard to get in. You have to be the active one to research our organizations. We have everything from the NPC (mostly white fraternities and sororities) NPHC (Historically Black) and MGC The Multicultural Greek Council with ladies and men from different backgrounds that share their sorority or fraternity as a common ground.

Athletics: It's interesting. I've seen the best and the worst of athletics on this campus. I've seen championship years and I've seen them having to bribe students to come to athletic events.

Overall Experience: USC has the highest standards when it comes to hiring professors and developing curriculum. There's a reason their programs are the top

Overall Experience: The university of South Carolina is a great experience to grow and learn. The professors are willing to help, and the students there help challenge me to become smarter.

Overall Experience: The alumni association is great. They are willing to help.

Health & Safety: Most of the time I feel safe around school. The only problem is sometimes the scenes around downtown can be scary

Campus Housing: On campus is a really nice option. It's nice and close to campus, and a great way to meet people. The only problem is some dorms are really nice, and some could use some help.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Greek life is a great way to make friends. I am not associated with Greek life and I have no problem making friends. The only downfall of Greek life is that the people in Greek life tend to only hangout with people in Greek life.

If there is one word to describe the experiences you will have at USC, it would have to be "unforgettable." Being away from home for the first time at USC is both exciting and scary at times, but the freedom you get when you come here feels natural. It makes you wonder why they don’t send people to college sooner! Academically, there are courses and professors who can make you look at things in ways you never considered before. Facts and figures will be thrown at you, but some of the professors (and your peers) can teach you a lot about life as well. It’s also a very cool thing to see laid-back professors who will sometimes move their classes out onto the Horseshoe lawn.

On top of this, with such a large student population, you will inevitably form new relationships that will last a lifetime. As at any college, the quality of the experience depends on what you put into it. There are thousands of new people to meet, tons of activities going on, and things to learn both in and out of class. Those who don’t take advantage of these opportunities will not get a lot out of their experience here. Some students get tired of being at USC after a while, and some hate it from the start for whatever reason. USC is not the place for everyone, but overall, students seem to be thoroughly enamored with Carolina and wouldn’t trade their title of Gamecocks for anything in the world. There seems to be an aura of its own inherent to the University, and its welcoming vibe is infectious.
