4 College Student

Student Body: The school is very student student friendly, how ever there are no cluds or groups to join only sports

2 College Student

Online Courses: The online classes are hard, they do not fallow any of the course matterial

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Some teachers handle the online classes well and give the students the appeal of an inclass experience. Others just expect you to do the work and they will tell you later if you are on track

Academic Flexibility: My only problem with this school is that I am having frustrations with trying to get classes that I want and the advisors and no help at all.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: My school has people from the age of 17 to even their 70s. Everyone comes to Salk to learn and earn their degree. People work, and go to school. Everyone is accepting and talks to everyone.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Computer labs make it easier to complete school work on campus during free time and in-between class times. There is wireless access available and the network speed is good.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have been overall with the school. The size is convenient, along with the professors' willingness to help students the best they can.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Most online professors try their best to communicate with you and help with any difficulties you may have. Only down fall with online classes is correctly managing time, having self control, and teaching yourself material you may not even understand. Classroom experience is the best, in my opinion, because a teacher is there to explain the material that is not understood completely.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Professors try their best to help students to succeed. Advisors are very knowledgeable with the intended major and try to help the best way they can in directing students' choices toward their major decision.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: It was challenging not having one on one with a professor, but I learned a lot. I really had to manage my time.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: computer lab had reasonable times that it is open and it has the technology for you to get your stuff done.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: The library has an aisle full of computers for students use, there is also two computer labs. There is wireless access in all buildings and even in the pond area. The network is pretty reliable and the speed is great, you can watch a youtube video with no problem.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: We have a student center with a tv, couch, vending machines, pool table, and soccer table. It's a great place to go and just hang out. Also, our library is pretty big and even offers private rooms you can study in if need be. Our gym is a nice-sized one. Even though our doorms aren't built yet, there are many houses students rent in the area.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition here is low compared to other universities I've researched. I received a great amount of financial aid and the process for getting it is easy. The workers in the financial aid office are helpful and are great about answering all of your questions.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: My intended major is Early Childhood Education and there is a specific adviser just for education majors. He is very helpful and only puts me in the classes I need. Classes are pretty straight forward, they aren't super easy but not overwhelming.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: There is a wide variety of classes and programs based on your major. There are a number of helpful advisers to help you only take the classes you need for you intended major. The class registration process is made fairly simple for students. Your adviser puts down all of the information on the classes you need for registration, you carry that piece of paper to the Student Services building where they offer assistance for the process.

5 College Junior

Career Services: The workers in the Career Services at USC Salkehatchie are very friendly and helpful. They help to the best of their abilities and if they do no know the answer to a question, they always get in touch with someone that does. They are great at getting back to phone messages and emails.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: in the library and computer lab students are allowed to use the printers. copys cost ten cents per page and this is reasonable. The library could use a few more computers because durring beaks there are more studnets than computers.

3 College Junior

Career Services: My adviser is very helpful in helping me find a job and choose a career path

1 College Junior

Online Courses: Students were required to complete two chapters per week and there were at minumim three assignments per chapter. The cours has about four assignments that were reseach ans essay style. there was no peer to peer interaction and communication with he professor was inadequate.

Campus Resources: Like No Other – To set my school from others is a whole lot easier than imagined. Academic programs are wonderful. Once you finish your two year then you will have to transfer unless you are in the nursing program or teaching. Salk has a wonderful facilities at both campuses. The campus life are in apartment or houses depending on where you are at. But both campuses get together and do a lot of fun activities. Which is great due to the fact that the other campus is an hour away and that is where all the sports are except basketball. The social scene is really relaxing due to the fountain your able to sit by, or the swings to sit on to study. To have fun in a social scene we have the student lounge where you can watch tv, play pool, and play fooseball. It never gets too crowded in their bc we are a small school where everyone knows everyones name.

Campus Resources: Wonderful Choice – Salkehatchie is a wonderful, laid back school environment. The school library and computer lab are up to date. There is always a computer open to anyone and it doesn't take long to search. With the printing you can print as much needed but the paper you don't end up using we recycle. For someone to bring their own computer they have a wireless connection they can connect with no problem.

5 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: Wonderful Choice – I love my school. I am involved with all the school activities along with the rest of the students that go there. Everyone knows everyone and there is no need to feel left out. Students and Staff are wonderful people to be around.

5 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Excellent Service – The education I am getting from this school will benefit me and my family

1 College Junior

Campus Resources: The school consists of 3 buildings. A science building and library that have both seen better days and a classrom building that is 2miles away from them.
