4 College Junior

Scholarships: The financial aid office is very helpful.

College Junior

Party Scene: Don't know the party scene.

College Junior

Campus Housing: I do not live in the campus housing.

Athletics: To be honest, I have not actually attended any sporting events and would never have gone in the athletic building if I hadn't had a required class there one semester. From what I can tell, sports are fairly important. There are students from all over the country that have come to this school to play sports.

Scholarships: I received an excellent academic scholarship based on my ACT score and GPA. There are several grants and scholarships available for students, but there is a cap on how much scholarship money a student can receive directly from the school.

Off-Campus Dining: There are many more restaurants than one would expect in a city this size. There is a ton of variety, and plenty of places close to campus.

Campus Housing: The freshmen dorms have no air conditioning and very limited options for rearranging furniture. They are kept clean though. The upperclassman dorms are excellent. They are spacious and comfortable. There are large lounge areas in most of the dorms, which are good for movie or game nights.

Administration: The administration trusts the students to obey the rules. While there are RA's watching for serious infractions, no one ever feels like someone is just waiting for them to mess up. The school puts a higher emphasis on student's safety than on making sure that all rules are followed to the letter. The campus security is very friendly and helpful. They even helped my jump my car once.

Local Area: For such a relatively small city, the restaurants and activities are excellent. There is a wonderful arts scene with sculptures displayed all over town and several venues for concerts or theater. The people are very friendly too.

Athletics: For me not being here for sports, I generally don't like to think good things about them because of the importance put solely on them at all times. Most of the money this school has goes towards bettering the sports teams and not the actually academics that go on for everyone else. If you're not a sports player you're looked at as pretty average and don't mean much to this schools reputation unless you have a 4.0 and are on the fancy cover the the welcome brochure. Unfortunately there is really no escaping this reality in any school so I would have to say I can put up with it since I see my education as my main focus for being here.

Administration: Campus strictness is pretty bad here, some days it is to the extent to me feeling like I'm at church camp all over again. This is college and i want it to be the best days ever, not days where i have someone watching my every move.

3 College Freshman

Weather: the weather is always unpredictable. One day it'll snow the next day it will all melt away. Rain, Shine, we never really know here in South Dakota

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The cost to go here is extremely high and the school is relatively small

3 College Junior

Campus Quality: Some facilities could use major renovations while others are up to date

2 College Junior

Transportation: No local buses. Airport isn't too far from campus. No train services

1 College Junior

Campus Food: Very few choices and some of it doesn't look edible or tasty!

3 College Junior

Local Area: In Sioux Falls so always something going on. Really close to Augie which creates rivals and large parties

3 College Junior

Academics: Overall good academic college. What you learn will help you the rest of your life

3 College Junior

Academics: Small classes and professors know you by your name rather than by just a student

3 College Junior

Majors: I'm a bio major so I think that math and science helped me alot

3 College Junior

Athletics: Altogether have their own training center while the students have a top notch wellness center

College Junior

Greek Life: I have no idea about our Greek life I try to stay away from them.

2 College Junior

Parking: Not enough parking. Parking lots will quickly AND heavily favors students in the dorms

3 College Junior

Technology: Don't go to the labs much but from what I've heard labs are usually full and crowded

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Good locations and close to campus, but parking is very limited. Gas stations and restaurants are with in walking distance. Top of the line wellness center as we'll.
