4 College Freshman

Administration: The administration is a healthy blend of concern for your well-being and understanding that this is a college campus and there will be partying. Also, the campus is very understanding about the reality of sexual relationships and visitors to your room are allowed.

4 College Sophomore

Administration: The school is strict when it needs to be, but lenient for the most part. The honor code is taken very seriously.

5 College Freshman

Administration: The administration is very lenient with everything except noise complaints. RA's are a hit or miss, most are indifferent but some are really strict. The honor code is very lenient, its very hard to get cited for a violation. Just be respectful and you can get out of anything.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The campus strictness does a good job of adjusting to the students and their needs.

3 College Sophomore

Administration: The parking is terrible. That guy loves to give out tickets. The administration hates drugs and cheating, and extreme punishments can be handed out if students are involved in either one. That being said, they are very lenient on drinking and knows that it happens. They just want students to be safe and smart about it.

You won't get away with anything at UR. With a real police force in addition to security officers, every part of campus is closely watched. The police take their jobs seriously and do a great job of keeping the campus safe. They conduct sobriety checkpoints to catch drunk drivers and will stop and question any person who looks like they might have had too much to drink. If you get caught by them, you don't just get a citation-you go to Richmond City Jail. It's not cool.

RAs can also write a student up for violating the rules. After four write-ups, you will most likely be placed on housing probation and any further infractions will get you kicked off campus. Campus police and RAs do not necessarily walk around looking to write students up for illegal activity. As long as you don't call attention to yourself, you can party on campus without having to worry about getting in trouble. They are present to make sure that everybody is safe, so be smart about it and you will enjoy yourself.
