Things I Wish I Knew Before Coming To School
  • If you move off campus, you can still get free access to Pitt Internet, even though it's just dial-up.
  • It's a big party school.
  • It's really easy to meet people on campus.
  • It's the perfect school for those with an undecided major.
  • Pitt has a small-campus feel.
  • Sometimes you don't see the sunshine for days at a time.
  • The city of Pittsburgh is actually very small.
  • There are over 300 student organizations, including intramural sports.
Interviews & Information Sessions
Information sessions are generally held on select Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. Schedule online at www.pitt.edu/~oafa/visit.html, or call the admissions office at (412) 624-7488.
Campus Tours
There are a variety of tours that you can take, from sitting in on an actual class to personal appointments and group information sessions. You can also take a campus walking tour with a student guide Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. through most of the year. Tours generally last an hour. There are also tours for some specific schools, such as nursing and engineering. Call (412) 624-7717 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
