Online Courses

Online Courses: Discipline is what comes to mind regarding my experience with online courses. It takes a lot to be able to manage time all while having various roles and responsibilities. This structure and setup is better than a traditional classroom experience, it is everything that is in a classroom yet it is online with convenience. Everything is setup to help the student advance further, the instructors are willing to assist and keep open communication. You meet new and interesting students with the same desires of passion.

Online Courses: Even though it is an online class you can still read who is the teachers favorite is, it has been obvious in close to half of the courses that I have taken. There have been a few instructors that have had a huge chip on their shoulder, or they just didn't care which was made relevant with the comments made to students through the forums. Students only have until the last day of class to make a complaint about an instructor however, an instructor has up to one week past the last day of the course to grade the final papers / team assignments and make changes to an individuals grade.

Online Courses: I like that I am able to see my course progress easily and know what classes I will be taking for the next months. Working with other peers online takes some getting used to but each teacher has required weekly posting for discussion as part of the course grade that help interaction.

Online Courses: I love online compared to the tradional classroom experience, the reason being is that there are no time restraints. The professor posts what needs to be complete for the day or the week, and each student is responsible for completing it by or before the deadline. A classroom setting is more stressfull, the class may only be three hours long and the instructor may want the project complete before the end of class that day. The only disadvantage of courses online is the fact that you cannot see who you are communicating with in groups, and to me I like to be able to interact with someone face to face.

Online Courses: They are prompt when it comes experience and convenient for me than sitting in a classroom. All timing for participation and assignment is workable with my lifestyle. The interactions in our teams they all vary. I have only experienced one bad professor where the communication lacked and it was brought up to my academic advisor and there was improvement.
