Tuition & Financial Aid

Tuition & Financial Aid: It's expensive but I had anticipated that. Especially being a program that is designed to be accelerated for working adults, returning students and to be completed not at a traditional college. The financial aid process was slow and I didn't receive any notifications that my forms were being processed which resulted in some anxiety for me. The financial advisors I've worked with are great and helped track down my student loans when I thought they had gotten lost in translation, and they helped set me up with a payment plan that is manageable for my out of pocket fees. (not including the deferred loans which I will deal with when the time comes)

Tuition & Financial Aid: At the University of Phoenix, they make it very accessible for a working adult and parent to attend college. I was not looking to go back to school until 2014, but an enrollment adviser contacted me on a Monday and I was enrolled by Friday of the same week. I was hesitant because I did not know how I would be able to afford going back to school. My success team, which includes my enrollment adviser, academic adviser, and financial adviser, all helped me to realize that this was the best decision I can make at this point in time. My financial adviser walked me through every step to complete the financial aid process and loan process. All of my advisers are easily accessible and if I cannot reach one adviser, I can contact one of my other advisers and they provide me with an answer to a question that is not necessarily their area of expertise (i.e. enrollment adviser helps explain subsidize and unsubsidized loans).

Tuition & Financial Aid: I look at tuition as an investment to your future, if you are not ready...don't waste your time or money. Life happens, so as soon as you feel its about to get in the sure to request an LOA.

COMMUNICATE & ASK QUESTIONS before you sign on the dotted line. It will provide clarity.
