Campus Quality: It's a nice campus, but it seems like something is always under construction.

4 College Senior

Campus Quality: The student center is great, there are a lot of food options and a large amount of space to park yourself. The library is great, there is a lot of space for studying, I have never had an issue finding a place to study or a computer to use. There are parks all around campus, and campus itself has TONS of green spaces. It is very beautiful.

The University of Oregon offers some of the most extravagant, up-to-date facilities in the nation. The administration is always making the University more appealing, from the expansion of Autzen Stadium to the building of a new business complex. The Erb Memorial Union (EMU) is at the center of the UO campus. It has two coffeeshops, including the ever-popular Buzz, which has an open mic/poetry night on Monday and Friday. The new, infamous Matt Knight Arena is an incredible venue to see concerts and watch our own Duck volleyball and basketball games.

With several renovations underway and constant updating of older buildings, the University is capable of keeping up with student needs by offering the highest-quality facilities. Within the last five years, the University has revamped nearly every building or facility to improve it in some way. A top-of-the-line Student Recreation Center, the best sports arenas and athletic facilities around, and a student center to serve every need are all a part of the UO experience, and you'll be hard pressed to find students who could ask for more.

  • Pit Crew: The UO Pit Crew has tradition written all over it. This is a group of students that wear yellow shirts and vie for a spot in the Pit Crew at the beginning of every season. These are sports-crazy students that attend every basketball game to agitate the opposing team while making more noise that the takeoff of a 747. The "Pit Crew" is an essential part of one of the oldest and most feared basketball stadiums in the country.
  • Street Fair: Usually twice a year, once in fall term and once in spring, the street fair lines the entire stretch of campus on 13th Street. From exceptional Thai food and other dining adventures to plenty of arts and crafts, the street fair is something all students look forward to.
