Campus Housing: The dorms allow for a great community network for students from outside of Oklahoma that are just coming to college to get an education. It gives them that sense of acceptance and somewhere to go to feel like they belong. The RAs on each floor really try to get everyone to interact and try to take care of them to the best of their abilities.

Greek Life: Greek life doesn't really matter much enough to me to give a fair opinion. I know a lot of Greeks and non-Greeks and I feel everyone gets treated the same.

Athletics: Fan support comes from across the nation, and we really thrive in our athletics due to our very talented athletes.

Overall Experience: I have constantly worked and joined organizations to help build my resume. I have been working to pay off my tuition alone so I didn't really get to enjoy the college experience that most students do. The University of Oklahoma offers a lot of great opporturnities to expand your networks through career fairs, public speakers, and publicity. Not to mention the location has a lot of local offers that allow you to jump right into work as you graduate or before for internships. They also try to keep their students happy by constantly offering opportunities to meet new people, join clubs, participate in crazy events, and expand your knowledge outside of the classroom. I couldn't have chose a better school.

Overall Experience: I'm super excited to start the next chapter in my life @ OU! I'm especially looking forward to football season, dorm life, meeting new friends, joining a fraternity, basketball season, learning about my major-mechanical engineering and the many job possibilities this will bring & most importantly graduating in the class of 2020 with a BS degree.

Overall Experience: Coming from a very small town where I only graduated with 70 other students, it was tough when I walked into my first class of freshman year. It had over 300 students in it which is about the same amount I had in my entire school building. I never really had to study for test in high school because it just came easy to me. Well in college I quickly realized that was not going to be the case. I had to put in much more time studying and preparing for upcoming exams. However, it did not take long for me to figure out a routine that was best fit for me to pass classes and make decent test scores. I will say professors are great at emphasizing their office hours and helping all the students pass but only if the student is making an attempt to.

Overall Experience: It sounds great when someone has a degree from the University of Oklahoma. However, I have been doing some research and talking with others and Oklahoma budget cuts are affecting education drastically. Someone that does not have a degree can get paid just as well as someone that has a degree and is paying off student loans. It really worries me that later on in life students loans will be holding me back from being successful and being able to put a down payment on a house that I want. Anyways, I will say that if a students knows people and knows how to network they will get a decent paid job and will not have as much worries financial. I still believe that me attending this university is preparing me for a great plan ahead.

Health & Safety: The safety and security on campus is very reliable. Not once did i ever feel unsafe while on campus.

Campus Housing: As a freshman I loved the dorm life. My floor was co-ed and literally all my best friends I met my freshman year were people from my floor. Every night we would all hangout in the lounge area and study together. I will say the rooms were a little small but if I had the choice to go back I definitely would but only if I were getting to live with the same people. Couch Express was very convenient since I lived on Couch 12 and eating options were great. Nothing about campus living was bad to me.

Greek Life: I joined Greek life at the University of Oklahoma my freshman year. I was a little skeptical about it at first but as it went on i think it was one of the best decisions I made. In just this past year I have met lifelong best friends and sisters that I know I can count on whenever. However, I will say Greek life is a huge part of OU but I feel that it should not be. I want the non-Greeks to feel just as important and I don't think they do. Greek life is very stereotypical and I hate that.

Athletics: Most students at the University of Oklahoma are involved with athletics on campus. Sooner football is a big part of campus life and it makes it even better that the football team are great competitors and know how to win. There is plenty of school spirit when it comes to OU athletics and sporting events. These are what I look forward the most during the school year.

Overall Experience: The University of Oklahoma is a great school. It emphasizes the important meaning of diverse and the students around me are great examples of role models. I am going to be a sophomore this coming fall so If I could do freshman year all over again, I would. I met so many friends through Greek life and other organizations such as Young Life and Big Event. This college has taught me how to study for exams, be instilled with integrity, and gave me a new friend everyday.

Campus Housing: Dorms are a bit dark and uninviting. The quiet hours were not enforced very well in my experience. Overall it was what you would expect of a dorm.

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm in a sorority and there is so much competition and cattiness among us and the other sororities (even frats). While nongreeks don't look down on Greeks, there is definitely a stigma if you're not Greek or if you're in a lower house. I do not believe the Greek life on campus is performing like it was created to. I wish there was less of an emphasis on Greek life here and more of an emphasis on just being friendly to each other.

Athletics: Great school spirit! The student athletic facility could use some updating.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The classes are good and the sports are fun, but Greek life is a bit out of control.

OU is an excellent choice for students who are undecided on their majors because it truly offers a wide variety of fantastic programs in every field of study, allowing students time to explore different classes and change their minds. The campus environment is great, too. There really is a place for everyone, no matter how strange your interests may be, and what really counts is the fact that the people that run the random clubs and organizations on campus want you to be involved, to have a good time, and to grow as a person. College is about experimenting and learning about oneself. OU provides its students with the means to do so in a safe situation. The majority of students are very satisfied with their time spent at OU. They feel that the small town of Norman offers a true college experience, along with the ability to give back to the community. Most feel that people in Norman are genuinely friendly and, for the most part, down to earth. The academics at OU are strong, and, generally speaking, the professors are understanding and qualified. Although there are some aspects that could use improvement, like parking, OU offers many great perks that make up for the minor inconveniences. OU has a strong athletic tradition, and the facilities available to students and athletes alike are top-of-the-line. There are numerous things to do, depending on what or with whom you care to do them with. Ultimately, what makes OU such a great place was different for every student, which only proves that OU truly does have something for everybody.
