4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have been receiving a great education with some great teachers. I just wish it was more affordable and more considerations would be made for low income students.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: Job fairs are common, and most people end up finding careers immediately out of college especially education majors.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: Obvious efforts are made to make people aware of assault, but help for those who have been assaulted could be a little better.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: It is pretty good. Some places are considerably better than others, but it is made up for in price.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: It is average. It is not a huge deal here, so most people do not care much about it.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I know very little about the athletics. For someone who hardly pays attention to athletics and their facilities, everything seems fine.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The school very much prepares you for going into your field, but it is very expensive with a constant rising tuition price. For anyone not going into education or nursing, their education is average at best, but education and nursing majors benefit greatly.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: theres lots of secutiry and help incase something happens

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: if you want a nice dorm it doubles your tuition, otherwise its trash

2 College Freshman

Greek Life: i never really notice them

3 College Freshman

Athletics: we have great athletic facilities to fit everyones need, not just those who play sports

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: UNCO is a really great school with a friendly and homely environment and helpful staff.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: It depends if you live on central campus or west campus. They are two completely different atmospheres.

3 College Junior

Athletics: I haven't bean to a varsity sports event. However, the clubs are fantastic.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: The University of Northern Colorado is a very pretty school. However, Greeley is such a small city that it was a shock to me. If you are a city person, don't go to UNC in Greeley.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Classes are classes. It was easy to choose them, but the head board of my department seemed to not be as helpful as I wanted.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I feel like this campus really would help you get on your feet after college with interneships and jobs.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety on campus seems very promising. People are able to walk to and from one side of campus with the assistance of campus security

Greek Life: Greek life was nonexistent at the community College.

Athletics: When I was at Kapiolani Community College, because it was a Community College, athletics were little to none. If their were, I knew nothing about them, so advertisements of them were very low. There were however plenty of clubs to attend and those clubs had fun extra curricular activities that you could attend, like for example dodgeball.

Overall Experience: My overall experience with Kapiolani Community College was that it was very rewarding and satisfying. I made a ton of friends and connections that I know will help me succeed later on in life. The experiences I gained in college could never be comparable to anything else and I'm glad I decided to go. I can't wait to transfer to the University of Northern Colorado for the fall of 2016 and to see where life takes me.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I recently just finished my first year of college at University of Northern Colorado. My professors showed me something that no professor has done in my life; they taught me to believe in myself and get out of my comfort zone to challenge myself to do better. There was one assignment I had that was about creating a prop for my favorite play. My favorite play is "Beauty and the Beast" so I chose to do the magic rose. I wanted it to be magical, so I asked my professor what I could do in order to make it spectacular. He told me to think of what I thought would make it magical. In other words he asked me what I wanted him to give me an answer to, but he did it in a subtle way that I did not realized it until I finished thinking on what magical meant. At the end I created a hard candy crystal flower that seemed like it was floating and changed colors while it rotated by itself, all because my teacher knew how to ask me what I thought "magical" meant.

Overall Experience: So far I have heard of at least ten to fifteen alumni that made it into Broadway. I had not the chance to meet this alumni, nor I knew who they were before. From close friends I learned that design and technical theater degrees, do get great jobs if they seek right. My Big -our program is so small we are assigned Bigs and Littles just like in a sorority- used to date one of the guys that designed some of the scenery for the new Disneyworld in Shanghai. One of my friends is currently working an internship with Universal Studios, and from her another one from my department started working with Disney. Not many get to graduate the school, because there are only a few of us in the theater department, but the ones that do go out get jobs thanks to how we work as a team.

Health & Safety: I do feel secure on campus at all times, and even when I do not feel secure the school makes sure to provide with all the possible needs for everyone to feel safe. Since I do theatre I have to rehearse every day from 6:00pm until 10:00pm, yet when I stage manage there are days when I leave the facility around 11:00pm sometimes even midnight if I have been working on a project and forget the time. When I leave so late campus, I can call campus security and they will go to my location and walk me to my dorm building to make sure that I am safe and feel secure. This is not only for us theater major that get out late, everyone in campus is welcomed to do so at any time of the day. It truly helps.

Campus Housing: As a college student between the ages of 18 and 21, it is amazing to live in the dorms. It might be the first time a student lives away from home so there are responsibilities that he or she might not have done before, such as laundry, cleaning dishes, cleaning the bathroom, cooking, or dealing with loud neighbors; living in the dorms teaches each and every one how to get along and be independent yet counting on your friends and the Residence Hall administrators to help him with the transaction. I remember one time getting sick from an allergy to mosquito bites, I truly felt like I needed to go to the hospital, that night the faculty member living in my dorm came to visit me since we had became friends now that we were neighbors, and she made me feel much more at ease when she showed me how to check my temperature and if I were sick enough to go to the emergency room or not. Had she not been living there, I would had payed a doctor's visit.
