4 College Junior

Athletics: We've had a tough season previously, but the spirit of the fans keeps the game going strong.

Overall Experience: My experience so far here at UNT has been phenomenal. It's a wonderful school with great professors, challenging coursework, and awesome student organizations and activities. UNT is located in one of the best college towns in the nation, so it's no surprise that it's also the fourth largest university in Texas. I highly recommend looking into starting the best four years of your life at UNT. You won't regret it.

Overall Experience: I was a transfer student so I went to transfer orientation to apply and get more info about UNT

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: I wish it would have been a little bit cheaper

4 College Junior

Greek Life: I am friends with Greeks and they are so nice and kind. They are also so hard working.

4 College Junior

Athletics: We have a beautiful facility for football. Lots of students go to Football games but not there other sports like basketball or others.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love UNT. I dreamed about it since my junior year in high school. UNT is well known for their Education program and most UNT gradutates will get a job after they graduate. I have enjoyed UNT and will continue to do so.

Health & Safety: More sexual assault awareness programs, and helplines

Overall Experience: College doesn't promise a job, its very hard if you don't have a major that will bring in money after graduation

Greek Life: NPHC Can be very different at UNT! One of those things you have to develop your own opinion about.

Athletics: Pretty laid back nice facility

Campus Housing: Some housing has great atmosphere, amenities, and location, but many of the dorms are far away from the classes and are not conducive for social interactions.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: As a member of our marching band, we get more support from the student body than our football team. During games, the stands are most full during halftime and attendance dwindles immediately after our performance. I cannot speak for other sports, but based on my lack of knowledge, I do not think they are well supported by the student body.

Overall Experience: There are many wonderful people at my school that I feel blessed to have gotten to know. Any issues that I have had have been dealt with professionalism by people who care that I succeed. However, coming from out of state, I feel that some people look down on me for not having grown up in Texas, rather than acknowledging that I have a different viewpoint to share.

This being said, it truly is an atmosphere geared towards success. Many of my friends and professors sympathize with difficulties I had during my first year and offered support for handling stressful situations. I look forward to helping underclassmen with the same in the coming years.

Health & Safety: We recently became a no-smoking campus. Although there are still people that smoke and don't really care I really appreciated that initiative as a non-smoker.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: I don't remember it being that difficult to apply for the school.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Housing: The residence halls on campus are nice. They really do need to be updated, and that is happening just at a slow pace.

3 Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: I don't really know much about Greek Life here at UNT. That is not my thing.

3 Recent Alumnus

Athletics: The school as a whole doesn't focus a lot on athletics. Yes we have a program and yes, we have teams but it's not what people think of when they consider UNT.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: There are many opportunities for all students no matter if you're from the area, if you're from another state, or from a different country. However, these will not be presented on a silver platter. You have to work to find what you need.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I generally love my professors and classes even if they are of topics that generally do not interest me like my core classes. Occasionally though, I get a professor with whom I do not agree with as far as teaching style or a class that I simply cannot understand the expectations of.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are a lot of opportunities for students to get a head start in obtaining job experience while still working on their degree which boosts their chances of employment once they graduate.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Most of the dormitories are outdated, so they need some renovations in appliances. The newer dorms are very nice and don't have many issues with space and appliances and such.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Our school has a lot of school spirit but not a lot of varsity sports support. For example, most students would go to Football games to watch the marching band rather than the football team because the had very little expectations for the team. As far as athletic facilities they are very nice and student friendly. Anyone with a student ID has access to the Rec center and it has a wide range of activities from club sports to dance lessons.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: UNT is a unique school to be a part of, especially if you are a nerd like I am. There are many different opportunities for student of different backgrounds and interests, sports for the athletes and even eSports for the non-athletic gamers. Not only that but the campus has multiple events going on around the year so that students can let loose once in a while instead of stressing too much over school work. Its a great environment to be in.
