Health & Safety

Health & Safety: I would have to say that the safety and security on campus is fair. When I first started school at UND I felt a lot more safe than I do now, but now there is a lot more crime and hate going on throughout the country. I feel safe walking to and from campus during the daytime, but at night it is a little creepy and I am always alert. There are university police that patrol the area which makes it more comforting.

Health & Safety: UPD are always roaming campus so students usually feel pretty safe. I have never felt unsafe walking around campus, even late at night.

Health & Safety: I have never been to the student health center, but they always put on programs trying to educate people. I would have no problem going to them if I needed to.

Health & Safety: I think the safety and security on campus is okay, but it could be better. During the day I feel more safe versus at night. I prefer not to take night classes just because some parts of campus are not lit very well which makes it hard to know who is in your surroundings. Not many people are around on campus at night so it is hard to find a group or someone else to walk with. The police on campus drive around from time-to-time, but never in my experience at UND have I seen a cop patrolling the campus on foot between buildings or even driving around the buildings. I feel that the police tend to patrol the main streets, and residential housing more than the area where all the classes are. It would be nice to see cops patrolling those areas more or at the very least have better lighting between class buildings.

Health & Safety: I have never once felt scared to be on campus no matter the time of day. There are a multitude of lights and there are always campus police patrolling the campus.
