Weather: Being from the Noth I like the weather here. It never really gets cold enough for a coat--lots of hoody weather especially for the rain

Campus Food: there are multiple places to eat on campus a s well as the dining halls. It really depends on your class schedule how often you will be going to the hall

Diversity: I for one have acquaintances from all backgrounds and you can see from walking around the campus that they are a lot of all kinds here on campus.

Academics: So far the Computer program is challenging. I have a way to go but it is very interesting

Guys & Girls: Everyone seems pretty normal around here. Typical girls and guys but sometimes you might find the ones who may be extremely attractive and belong in modeling catalogs or you may find some who belong in Anime comic books. You really just have to really look around. For the most part I would say we have the most diverse campus around North Carolina. The country boys, the city slickers, the Northerners, and of course tons of people from outside the United States. I truly believe anyone can find their perfect group of friends. That is one of the reasons I love this school, because you're not going to find everyone exactly alike.

Greek Life: Greek life is irrelevant to me. Simply because I don't want to spend loads of money on something I don't see you getting much out of. Greeks have parties and sometimes they are all anyone talks about, if it's a good Greek party. Sometimes though they are very snobby and will not let anyone in unless you are Greek. They see themselves as better than anyone else on campus and will try to only associate with one another. There are Greek housing available and they have their own Greek village, so they yet again get to separate themselves from everyone that are not involved in what they believe in.

Technology: I use my laptop most of the time when I go to school for homework and such, but if you go to the library and try to use their wireless internet sometimes it doesn't exactly want to work out for you, especially during finals and mid-terms. You will lose connection, guaranteed, every 20 minutes. When it comes to having to take a test online, you should definitely use a school's computer, especially if you have a professor that only allows you to take it one, even if you have technical issues. If your test fails while you're taking it on your own personal computer they will most likely tell you they can't do anything, but if it is the University's computer then they will blame it on the school and probably allow you to take it again. This is all what I have experienced. All I know is you definitely want your own computer, because it makes your college experience so much easier.

Party Scene: There is so much to do around here! There is a transportation bus that takes you downtown to all the coolest clubs. There are a good amount of parties, you just have to know people. Sometimes there will be no parties at all going on, but if you are over 21, bars and clubs are one of the most popular activities to do at night such as Bad dogs or Phoenix. Depending on the apartments complex you are going to party at though, you should be wary. If you are trying to go to a party at U-terrace, there will be some people you might want to watch out for, but apartments like Uwalk, or The Edge seem to have pretty decent parties.

Campus Food: There are quite a few great places around campus for dining, although only a handful of them are open past 6pm.

Academics: I have good experience with most of my professors here. They are willing to help if you show them you're working hard. The registration process is frustrating, but not only at this school. You have to be very patient in order to get into the class you like. Form study groups would help a lot to prepare for exams.

Academics: I love our chemistry department. You'll find many great opportunities once you get in and work your butt off.

Technology: Computers are available at all departments but I hate the printing service at the Atkins library. I spent over 60 bucks on printing just for one year because it was automatically set printing color instead black and white documents. Didn't get money back after I emailed them.

Drug Safety: They have various seminars, meetings, discussions, signs and posters and awareness about what are the consequences if you participate in those activities. They are very strict in case if you are caught, necessary precautions are in effect.

Drug Safety: I think UNCC does a good job of creating alcohol/drug awareness. And there are few incidents on campus that are serious. This is primarily because it's a commuter school so it really clears out on weekends. Most students take drinking off-camus, because campus police are quite strict with rules/regulation/drinking tickets etc. Drugs aren't a big part of our campus, for the most part we are a pretty clean campus. There is marijuana use, but that tends to be most places these days. There's not much peer pressure, like I said, because most people commute.

Local Area: Charlotte is a growing city and there is a lot to do, but if you don't have a car or money, it can be quite difficult to participate. There are places on all sides of campus, but most are shops, stores or food places, so if you are low on cash it can be dull. Uptown Charlotte is smaller but beautiful and if you are of age, there are definitely lots of bars/clubs to go to. Lots of people go to North Davidson which is considered the "artsy" part of town and there are cool shops/bars there. My favorite place is the US National White Water Center/Crowder Mountain, which is 30 minutes away but if you like the outdoors, it's worth it. They have white water rafting, hiking, high ropes courses and zip lining.

Campus Quality: The campus life is rather dull because the school is a commuter school. There are a lot of activities on campus but they don't do a very good job of making events known, not a lot of posters and announcements.

Majors: Typically an internship goes without pay and you spend anywhere from 10-20 hours a week in the internship. The responsibilities can be anywhere from paper work to assisting the physical therapist and I'm starting one in a week because it is mandatory for our major.

Majors: I love my program at UNCC, my career goal is to become a physical therapist. The concern I have with physical therapy school is the difficulty of being accepted into the graduate program.

Majors: Getting into my program requires hours of observing your goal career and a rather high GPA. The most important criteria for admission into the Kinesiology program is to have a great amount of internship hours along with a high GPA.

Parking: The cost of a permit seems to rise every year, the cost this year is $450. It can be hard to find a spot. The best solution is to arrive early to make sure you have time to find one. The parking office is very harsh and can find you and give you a ticket in matter of minutes. A lot of students live near campus and walk, also some take the city bus.

Campus Quality: UNC Charlotte has a beautiful campus. It has two athletic centers for your use. The library is very good and has quiet zones for serious study time. The Student Union is fairly new and is a great place to get food and hang out.

Campus Quality: Great selection of majors. Computer science is top of the line and has its own college. College of Engineering has a computer system filled with top of the line programs that can be accessed from your personal computer.
