Administration: A lot of people get away with a lot of stuff, it depends on what bothers you and if you report it or not.

Parking: Parking here is good only when you know when to (after football games, weekends, etc.), during the school week and big events it's bad.

Scholarships: As an athlete, I do not remember specifically all of the financial aid process but it has been extremely helpful to me in my (almost) 2 years here at UNCC.

Health & Safety: I haven't used the health and safety facility very often, but when I had to get my insurance waiver the wait took a long time (it's probably because there are so many students here) but they could change the system so that it's more convenient.

Overall Experience: The school is very diverse and has a lot of options in terms of majors and academics. The on-campus and off-campus options for living and eating are good and I love the diversity here (my high school wasn't very diverse at all).

Off-Campus Dining: There are many places off-campus that aren't too far (most people would consider you a "walker" if you went to these places) but there are great options not too far from campus.

Party Scene: I'm not much of a "partyer" but of the ones I've went to have been walking distance and I've ended up enjoying myself. Also, they've all been off-campus and my friends have offered to take me to and fro.

Drug Safety: It was very apparent who was getting drunk and high in my dorm during my freshman year, but that year was the only one in that drinking (and getting high) was a problem. Most people that were being belligerent were punished for it.

Guys & Girls: The guys and girls here are mostly accepting and cool; I have yet to meet someone who is ignorant or mean to others.

Weather: Once again, as an athlete I had to get up earlier than most students for workouts but the weather/temperature was generally warm or slightly below warm (which is perfect for runners!)

Technology: As an athlete, I have access to a private computer lab at UNCC but I initially did not use my laptop or the lab very often. There are a variety of places to access computers and there is wireless network availability in most places throughout the campus.

Academics: Most professors care about their classes and students profusely; they all respond to e-mails and are generally available to help after class sessions.

Academics: There are a variety of classes to choose from and it's difficult for me to pick all the ones I want to take because they are all so interesting!

Health & Safety: Overall I feel really safe on campus. I have no fears walking around at night by myself or fear that my personal belongings will be stolen from my dorm. The campus police are there if you need them and their number is available at all times for students to use.

Transportation: On campus the transportation is great but when it comes to getting to the greyhound/megabus station or the Amtrak it is really inconvenient. Even though students have access to public transportation, you still need a car to get a round in Charlotte,

Campus Quality: UNC Charlotte offers a variety of academic and job opportunities for their students. They also offer unique programs such as ROTC and study abroad. The atmosphere is great! There is a lot to do and a lot to get involved with on campus. The academic buildings are really nice, with new technology in the classrooms that make learning interesting, and there are new dorms that are being contracted to accommodate the growing population. Overall, I really enjoy the school and all it has to offer and I am looking forward to spending the next 2.5 years there!!

Campus Quality: There are a ton of things to do that the students can get involved with. The athletic department and its faculties are really great and the students have the opportunity to play recreational sports or competitive sports. The library is really nice and it is a great space to hangout out in between classes. UNC Charlotte crates a lot of spaces for student to hang out in that are really nice and relaxing.

Overall Experience: Overall I really like UNC Charlotte. It is really diverse, there is a lot to do on and off campus, it offers a wide variety of majors/minors and I found a lot of opportunities here that every college does not offer.

Technology: Its okay but I would recommend bringing your own computer and printer because the labs are not open to everyone and printing is not free. The library is not open 24 hours on the weekend and during registration week it is hard to find a free computer in the library.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not live off campus but I have friends that do and I would definitely consider doing it because its cheaper than on campus living and the living conditions are better than the housing on campus.

Administration: Its pretty easy going around here. You can get away with just about anything. As long as you are not breaking the law you are pretty much free to do just about anything you want.

Guys & Girls: The people here are pretty relaxed. We have a large international population so I am constantly coming in contact with people of different nationalities. UNC Charlotte is also a graduate school so I also come in contact with people of all ages.

Weather: The weather is okay. Living in Charlotte, North Carolina, we experience a little bit of all the seasons. The weather does not affect my campus experience because I was raised in the area so I am used to this weather.

Academics: I haven't started working in my major yet because I am still working on my general education classes. I specifically came to UNC Charlotte for their communications program so I am really excited to start working on my major next year.
