Parking: There is plenty of parking if people are willing to walk! There is ALWAYS a spot in the South Deck Parking Garage. Obviously if you try to park close to academic buildings, you'll have issues. There are usually plenty of spots available behind Fretwell though.

Guys & Girls: I feel like there way more attractive girls than there are guys here. There are definitely more guys here, and quite a variety (the frat type, country type, city guy).

Off-Campus Housing: I love living at Uwalk right across the street from campus. I can walk and save on a parking pass and the place is really nice and affordable

Health & Safety: There are blue lights you can press and you can technically ask a cop to escort you but no one really does

Off-Campus Dining: There are a couple places that offer student specials like Hungry Howies and Jersey Mikes. Theres a little bit of everything around here.

Campus Quality: All of the facilities on campus are great. They are doing so much building and so much renovation that the campus almost looks new!

Overall Experience: I would choose Charlotte again in a heartbeat. I love the campus, the people are so nice, professors are great, and it feels like home. There are so many opportunities on campus, you just have to take advantage of them. Don't wait to start getting involved as as junior or senior. I'm a freshman and I already have so many connections it's amazing. I know so many people that would write me recommendation letters and I know all of my professors one on one. It is a great experience, something that you should miss out on!

Campus Food: The dining Halls aren't terrible. Crown gets pretty boring after a few weeks. But the other restaurants on campus are great. Mama Leones takes meal swipes. I would say that prospector is the best with Chick fil a and Salsaritas.

Guys & Girls: Of course there is every type of guy on campus. One thing I noticed when I came to the school was that most every person, guys especially, holds the door if you are behind them. People say hi to you and everyone is very friendly. There are a lot of organizations on campus to help you to find like minded people.

Parking: I don't drive, but I go many places with my friends. For the most part, we can find a spot right next to our building. If it is very late at night or in the middle of the day, we usually have to park a little bit farther away, but it's still not a far walk.

Greek Life: Rush week is so different than the reality. I know both guys and girls who joined a fraternity and sorority and now hate it! But I also know people who love it. It really depends on your personality. I was going to rush my freshman year and join a sorority, but I'm so glad I decided to wait a year. I know now after learning each sorority's reputation and meeting some of the people that I don't have time, and it is not something that I would enjoy. It's very expensive too! Maybe not as expensive as some schools, but dues are between $500 and $1000. That doesn't include all of the clothes sororities make you buy. If you refuse to buy, you get fined. You bank account will easily reach $0. I'm not Greek but I have a lot of friends who are. These are facts that I have been told. Take the decision to rush and join Greek life seriously. Remember that rush week is nothing like the real thing (for sororities at least). Once you get initiated, there's no getting out it.

Off-Campus Housing: I live on campus, but I know some people who live off campus, and they like it. Living on campus is so much more convenient though!

Athletics: Intramural sports are pretty popular. Varsity sports are becoming more popular as the University grows. Football was added in 2013. I think as that becomes more established, sports will become more popular. Basketball games are very fun. There is a large group of students who go to all of the games. The student section is a lot of fun.

Transportation: I haven't used the transportation on campus. I know many people who do and they seem to like it.

Majors: The business program is great. All of the professors are very nice as well as the advisers. I am in the Business Honors Program and that was the best choice I ever made. I would choose Charlotte all over again if I had the chance.

Majors: There wasn't much difficulty getting into the business school. For the Business Honors Program, there is an application process. It includes a few short answers, an essay, and an in person interview. It was totally worth it!

Campus Housing: I love living on campus. I live in Lynch Hall (learning communities). It's strictly freshman, on the north side of campus. I definitely recommend a learning community. Lynch has all suites. Some are single room suites (no roommate) and some a double rooms (roommate). I have been in Miltimore and Witherspoon (honors and international dorm). Both are very nice inside and have both suites and apartments. Charlotte's on camps living is becoming more and more like off campus living. Soon, there will be no reason to move off campus!

Technology: There a ton of computers in the library that anyone can use. There is always a computer open except for during exam times. There are also computer labs in many buildings, and I think some residence halls have computers.

Administration: The school isn't too strict about a lot of things. I would say it's comparable to other schools. It's not too much but it's enough so that everyone is safe.

Drug Safety: If you don't want to be a part of all that, you don't have to. Just find friends that are like minded. I don't like to get involved with any drugs or alcohol. Just leave, you won't be missing much.

Scholarships: I didn't have to deal with the financial aid office, but from what I hear, they are accommodating.

Academics: Business is great at Charlotte. There so many opportunities, especially since Charlotte is such a big business city. Many employers come to campus for job fairs and career fairs, and networking events, etc. If you are sure that business is what you want to pursue, look into the Business Honors Program! It's an awesome program!

Off-Campus Dining: There are a lot of average priced restaurants around campus. They have plenty of grocery stores, Target, ice cream shops, fast foot, cookout, and a variety of other restaurants.

Campus Quality: The campus is absolutely beautiful. There is so much brick and many trees. Everything is always very clean, and they are building new and renovating the residence halls to make it much more comfortable.
