Health & Safety: I very rarely ever hear anything about crime or sexual assault on campus, but some of the apartments and clubs uptown can sometimes be dangerous.

Overall Experience: There are so many opportunities on campus all the time.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I'm only a freshman so I honestly don't have too much experience with this, but what I have personally experienced is that the professors are there to help when you ask for it and all of my previous professors have showed a strong interest in their students success. Some classes are always going to be harder than others but there are tons of options to get help.

Campus Housing: The housing is all really new but that means its going to be expensive

Greek Life: Rush season is really fun but after that, the parties are really exclusive and hard to get into if you're not in greek life

3 College Freshman

Athletics: The football team is only a few years old so the team isn't very good but the tailgates are really fun. Football is the pretty much the only sport that people talk about

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: i love the campus and that its so close to downtown, but the only thing that i don't like is that a to of people go home on the weekends and i wish greek life was a bigger part of the school

Health & Safety: We have the blue light thingies that you can press if you feel uncomfortable or not safe.

Overall Experience: I absolutely love it here! The classes are great. The professors are great. I joined marching band and that was one of the best times I have had in my life! Every person you meet and make friends with will be part of a new family, your Niner family! Wouldn't change a thing! Just watch out for the geese.

Campus Housing: The place I live is one of the older dorms but it is still great. What it lacks in "up-to-date" amenities and "niceness" is replaced by the people that reside in it.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I participate in the community Tia-Chi classes that are held on Thursdays and love them!

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I absolutely love UNC-Charlotte. Not only are the classes and instructors great, but there are so many wonderful people that accept you as you are without question!

Campus Housing: It is a little far from the class buildings but it is nice and the social activities are fun.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I do not really actually know a lot about Greeks at my school.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: The athletic facilities are very modern and do help to enhance the athletes abilities.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I really enjoy the school and the different classes offered. The experience has helped me to think outside of the box and explore different opportunities.

Health & Safety: During the day, I have never felt unsafe on campus. There are always so many people around that it would be hard to feel unsafe. At night, there are far less people around so you need to be more cautious, but I have never had a problem. There are blue light posts to call police all around campus in case of an emergency and that helps to ease any fear. There is always police patrolling campus also.

Overall Experience: There are some professors who are there to teach and ensure that you learn the material and there are others who are there to get tenure. The general education classes are always interesting. There are only a few options for courses outside your major. The classes are fairly small.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I haven't really used the career center before. Internships seem like something that you have to find on your own. A degree from this school is good because people know about the school, but it isn't anything special either. On campus they do have opportunities to meet employers recruiting on campus, but I have never attended.

Greek Life: Greek life is a pretty big part of the school. You can't walk down the sidewalk without seeing posters about Greek life and groups wearing their letters or selling baked goods for a cause. I'm not the type of person to join a sorority, but there are many times that I wonder if I would feel more connected if I joined. Those who are in Greek life are so connected. They are still welcoming to others, but have their own group that they focus on. The Greek village is very nice.

Athletics: I have never been very interested in sports until I became a student at UNC-Charlotte. Going to a football game with other students is such a fun experience. The teams are not the best, but they are constantly improving. School spirit is something that could be better. Most students are more academically focused and don't pay attention to sports as much. The football stadium is new and is very nice. The gym is not the newest, but is also being renovated. I will continue to enjoy the sporting events, and I believe as the school grows the sports will also.

Overall Experience: Thus far, I have seen some good and some bad things about this school. The diversity on campus is something that I love! You never know who you will end up meeting and it is great to have an opportunity to become friends with people you may not have been friends with normally. The classes are very engaging and have exposed me to a variety of topics and ideas. There are some professors who are helpful and others that are just the opposite, however in my experience all of my professors have taught the material well and in a way that stimulates your thinking differently about the topics. The campus is absolutely gorgeous to walk through, however there are quite a few stairs or hills to climb, so you get a workout. The food on campus is not the greatest, but it could be worse and I eat there on a regular basis. Construction is always happening on campus, which is a good thing because it means they are constantly expanding and making the school better, but it can also be a pain. As a commuter parking isn't always easy to find, but again, it could be worse. Overall, I enjoy attending UNC-Charlotte and although there are some downsides, I believe that I made the right decision in choosing this school.

Overall Experience: The majority of my professors cared about their students, they where very professional and i learned a lot from them. While some showed no interest in there class, and their TA's where not much help.

Diversity: The only time I ever saw anyone not being accepting was when an off campus person would come onto campus to either protest or preach
