There is always a lot going on on the weekends in Chapel Hill, whether it be frat parties or a late night at one of the many clubs and bars on Franklin Street. The main clubs that students frequent are Pulse, East End, and Players. Players is often regarded as a sketchy club by some students, and most prefer to go to Pulse or East End. All of these are 18+ and also cater to those who are 21+ in the form of full-service bars. There are a lot of bars on Franklin Street that lend their services in the best nights that collegiates will never remember. From Thursday to Monday, most of these places are open until 2 a.m. and can be a great way to let off some steam and meet a lot of new people. The clubs in Chapel Hill are always fun, but many students flock to fraternity and house parties because of the smaller atmosphere and less regulation of alcohol.

Most students can always find something going on at night in the surrounding areas, and if you are willing to travel to Raleigh, there is no shortage of nightlife. A lot of parties are advertised by word of mouth or Facebook, so be on the lookout, and it can lead to a fun semester. However, many students find it prudent to invest in an alarm clock and limit the number of times they go out each week. Because of the abundance of things going on, it is often easy to fall behind on schoolwork!

Organization Parties
Many organizations on campus will rent out restaurants or nightclubs and advertise their parties on campus through flyers and word-of-mouth. These are some of the best parties to go to if you want to hang out with a predominantly UNC crowd. Fraternities and sororities often rent out nightclubs after rush or initiation.

This coffeeshop has one of the coziest atmospheres of any coffee shop on Franklin Street. He's Not Here

He's Not Here is unique because most of it is outdoors, which is great for those warm summer nights, but not so cool on those wet and rainy days. This place is great for serving cheap drinks-the 32-ounce Big Blue Cup, refillable for $3, is about the cheapest you'll pay for a drink in Chapel Hill. The only drink served here is beer, and kegs are placed outside to diminish the long lines on the inside. There's always live local music on the weekends.
