Campus Food

3 College Junior

Campus Food: Dining halls do not have much variety and usually don't have many healthy options but the restaurant choices are great.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The meal plans are very expensive and the food is not worth the money. Although the dining halls are "all you care to eat," you are not allowed to get however much food as you'd like in a traditional buffet.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Food: The campus food is okay, and they have been trying to improve it in recent years.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: I am not a picky eater, so I can literally always find something to eat at the dining hall. In my opinion, the food at Rams and Lenoir is some of the best dining hall food compared to other colleges I have eaten at. Also, flex is awesome for Wendy's and Alpine! If you think you will use the meals, a mean plan is definitely worth the money.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The flex dollars are very useful in purchasing food! In the dining halls, I wish there were more vegetarian options.

Carolina has an abundance of dining options that range from vegan dishes to fast food and even sushi. UNC has been noted several times for some of the best on-campus dining, which is entirely visible at the Lenoir and Rams Head dining halls. Although there are some off days, most of the time there is so much selection that it's rare to not find something that would appease the most discriminating of appetites. Many nights during the year have a theme, giving a little extra variety to what can become tired due to frequent visits. One of the biggest drawbacks at these dining halls, however, is the lack of seating at prime times. If you are going during the busy hours, you might find yourself elbowing your way to a table.

Carolina dining also has a great number of on-campus restaurants that serve delicious foods throughout the day. One of the best kept secrets at UNC is the athletic dining hall, which is found at Kenan Stadium. Although it is only open for lunch, it has some of the best dining hall food on campus, and it accepts regular meal plans and flex. Overall UNC dining is a great resource for the hungry collegiate.
