Off-Campus Dining: There is a great variety of food places, especially off campus and there are consistent discounts for college students with proof of ID. I have fast food, subs, mexican, and asian all within a mile of my apartment and Franklin street is two miles away with a multitude of options.

Campus Housing: I lived in Granville two years and off campus this year and haven't had a problem at either location. Administration is fair and helpful and they are both a great deal for what you are paying.

Administration: I think that the administration is lenient but fair. They usually only step in when it is warranted and aim to aide people first before reprimanding them. I think there is a great balance at UNC.

Administration: the administration pretty much gives us a lot of freedom

Health & Safety: there are a few crimes of course, but it is a very safe school

Local Area: Chapel Hill is such a nice, beautiful area. Right on the edge of campus, there is Franklin St. which has the best boutiques and restaurants.

Scholarships: This is a tough institution to get scholarships. Standing out in high school is tough, but it is essential for getting scholarships.

Party Scene: The frats are a lot of fun. It can be tough to get in as a guy though.

Health & Safety: It feels like a very safe environment. I can often leave my backpack alone for extended periods of time without fear of it getting taken. There is an escort service for students uncomfortable walking home from libraries late at night.

Off-Campus Housing: Often rundown by previous college student occupants; often pricey to be close to campus - - more affordable options are further away

Greek Life: Not personally a member, though several friends involved love the greek system here.

Party Scene: Somewhat limited because of overwhelming presence of greek life, but there are certainly other options for social events.

Campus Housing: Average undergraduate student housing options on campus - - not luxurious, but certainly sufficient.

Health & Safety: UNC-Chapel Hill does not have a serious problem with safety or security in terms of widespread campus crime, personal safety, safety services, nor security concerns from my observations.

Majors: I worked in Spain for my dads company mostly as a secretary/office hand. Improved my Spanish greatly, didn't help much else.

Off-Campus Dining: Would like to see more student discounts and delivery. Lots of good options, just nowhere to park.

Administration: Pretty relaxed. Make our football team better.

Campus Housing: Half of the housing is on the North side of campus which is great since classes are so close, but horrible if you ever need to go to south campus. Also okay are the amenities. This is a very old campus with not a lot of new/ updated housing facilities.

Administration: There are some very serious consequences for illegal drug and alcohol use as well as violation of the honor code, but these seem to be the most serious things.

Majors: Getting into the College of Arts and Science is very easy. However, be careful applying from out of state because UNC requires 82% of their students to be local. Show a lot of leadership and extracurriculars in high school. AP scores don't matter as much, but AP classes do.

UNC is known for its great academics, abundant research facilities, and storied athletic programs. Students who are priviliged enough to attend Carolina are happy with their choice even though it may not always have been their dream. UNC has been in the top five public schools in the country for the past eight years, and it is considered a "public ivy," so it's no secret that the quality of education at Carolina is far above average. Students at Carolina are continually pushing borders, experiencing new things, and becoming individuals.

At the end of their collegiate careers, many boast of having had the best four years of their lives in Chapel Hill, and that is evidenced by the overwhelming alumni support. UNC will prepare you for what is to come after the beautiful undergraduate years under the perfect Carolina blue sky. But most importantly at Chapel Hill, it is important to cherish every moment because four years fly by, and the college experience is soon over. One of the best things about Carolina is the immense school pride with which the stuent body lives as Tar Heels. Sure, college will be difficult. There will be failed exams and broken hearts, but there will also be experiences that you will never forget—weekend trips with your friends, late night yo-po runs, foam parties at Pulse, Holi Moli, and many others. When you attend Carolina, you will receive a quality education and a great college experience.
