5 College Junior

Overall Experience: This school has been everything I've wanted in a college and more.

5 College Junior

Health & Safety: I feel genuinely safe while on campus at any hour of the day.

4 College Junior

Athletics: I participated in my schools Club Volleyball team as its first year and it was the best experience I've had in college.

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I wish I would've chosen this school my freshmen year over my sophomore year. This school has been amazing to me so far and I can't wait to call myself an alumni.

4 College Freshman

4 College Freshman

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Living on campus in Rivers Hall my freshman year was tolerable. My sophomore year in Rice Hall was frustrating. The building was old and outdated. It wasn't a clean building, it needed renovation and better structure. The only amenity was the proximity to and from class. I enjoyed being around other students and the social part of living on campus is incomparable, but the cost did not add up to the living arrangements. However, to be fair, UNA has new dorms that would easily sway my opinion if I were to live in the new dorms, but as for Rice Hall, it was the experience was abysmal.

Greek Life: If you are Greek at my school, congratulations, it's a wonderful life to live. The support they receive from school is respectable and they typically have a good atmosphere surrounding them wherever they go. I have thought about being a Greek member, but that lifestyle isn't for me. I view Greeks as normal people with a brand attached to them, which isn't a negative connotation of them, it just is what it us. Greeks have houses all around campus and you definitely notice the love UNA Greek receives.

Athletics: I wish I could select "it's the best," but that is not the case. As someone who wants to pursue a career in sports broadcasting, it would be amazing to attend a school who is huge into its athletics as a school such as The university of Alabama. I realize that comparison is extreme, but it proves my point. There are days where my university has a game and they don't advertise it they way you'd hope. I truly feel if I did not live on campus and/or write for the school newspaper I'd be unaware of what is going on in the sports world. I truly wish and hope for improvement in this area.

Overall Experience: When I began attending the University of North Alabama as a freshman in 2014, I was hesitant on venturing out and having doubts on if I made the right decision attending the school, then my sophomore year came and everything changed. I began taking classes in my major (mass communications), I got involved in school activities such as National Broadcasting Society where we do a plethora of activities around campus. I also write for my school newspaper covering sports and that has helped me grow in ways I thought were unimaginable during my freshman year. Lastly, I started interning at a radio station which has completely changed everything for me. I've met people that will help me down the road, achieved major accomplishments and have a small resume to back it up. So yes, while I had doubts throughout my freshman year, my sophomore year has transformed my mindset into being hungry, dedicated and open-minded which will help me become very successful.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It's fine. There really hasn't been a problem since I've gotten here.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Some care and some don't. Most of your classes are passable if you actually try.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Usually your degree is worth something from what I hear.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The newer dorms are perfectly fine for your first year at UNA. Getting in rivers or rice hall though would suck.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: I recommend rushing. Joining a fraternity is a plus in my book if you get in one that is relevant. The social scene also revolves around Greek parties unless you go to the bar. Greek life here is definitely not like an SEC school because of the limitation this school puts on it, but it is still a fun time.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Athletics are fairly popular here. Football always has good tailgates and their players are generally cool guys. Intramural sports are big for both Greeks and non-Greeks.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: UNA so far has been a decent option so far. It has decent Greek life and a good nursing and business program. It is a good option for a cheaper college if you still want some sort of social life.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The housing is okay depending on the housing you choose and the price you're willing to pay. For now, the freshmen have better housing than the upperclassmen. If the housing for the older dorms get renovated, then I think housing would be better.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greeks are pretty big on campus, but no one really cares whether or not you join one or not. The Greeks also have good events on campus at times.
