Academics: The workload can be very intense and stressful, but it is never boring or repetitive. Being an English major is probably one of the most fun majors to be besides an Art major. The professors are amazing. And if you are active in class, your professors recommend you to give readings at events and suggest you for on-campus job opportunities.

Academics: The professors are awesome, funny and definitely love their jobs. I absolutely abhor American Literature. Last semester, because of a professor, I walked out loving it and having a wonderful appreciation for it. The professors definitely broaden your mind and help you to find something relatable in everything they teach.

Academics: Much like a typical public school, the early classes have lots of students, but once you actually get into your classes, it becomes very intimate, about maybe 20 people? Since our standards are lower than a competitive school, we do have some people who don't really care about class. On the other hand, because of that, if you show in interest in your classes, all of the professors will take a large interest in you! Most professors are good teachers, and if you try hard, you'll learn alot here.

Academics: Course load isn't too bad. Some people take 4 classes per semester (12 credits), but 5 is needed if you want to graduate in 4 years. As long as you don't load up on all major courses, you should be fine. The only thing that disappointing me is that we don't have alot of "fun" classes like bowling or glass blowing, but I suppose that we have a huge list of course in our majors to choose from, so it evens out. Many majors have certifications that you can take in, such as Accounting's internal auditor certification classes, or Computer Science's information security certification classes. Classes here at UNO tends to fill up quickly though (since everyone wants to graduate in 4 years) so you should join the honors society for at least the first 2 years to get priority registration.

Academics: You really have to keep an eye and ear open to know abou tthe really cool classes. Not all the same ones are offered every semester, so stay ahead of the game and ask classmates who the best professors are.
