Guys & Girls: Love them more then my hometown guys

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: UNR is a great school, but the students that go here can be hard to approach which makes it difficult to make friends for new students.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: I am not that in tune with most of campus as I stay in the nursing buildings.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Everyone is accepting of each other, and nobody really cares unless you're a tri-delt because then you're super judged.

Guys & Girls: I met my best friends at work, rarely in class. But I don't feel really qualified to rate any sort of dating scene because when I was on campus, I wasn't there to date or seek out romance. When I did start dating another student(s), it was usually after meeting somewhere off campus, at a concert or a coffee shop. Approaching someone at school is a little awkward.

Social Scene
Students are pretty outgoing, some residence halls more so than others. At the start of the year, people are very social and then later settle in their groups. Most of the big parties are at frat houses, but house parties also have their place.
Hookups or Relationships?
Hookups are far more likely to happen, but relationships are also fairly prevalent. And of course, some partake in both at the same time.
Dress Code
Most of the years, students walk around in coats and warm clothes, since snow can start as early as October and extend through April. Girls mostly wear boots and jeans, but take advantage of wearing dresses and tank tops once the weather warms up. Guys seem to just wear jeans year-round, although skater brands and cargo shorts make their appearance at the beginning and end of the year. Girls like to dress up for parties, but guys remain pretty casual.
