Off-Campus Dining: There are a couple of places I like to go out to off campus, but often times it's too expensive, so I opt for something farther from the campus.

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining is close-distanced, on the cheaper-side, and is vast. There are many options around campus that are fairly priced and offer wide menus. The variety is immense especially if you're willing to either walk or drive a bit off campus, considering the strip isn't too far off from campus. In-and-Out and Chipotle were some of my mainstream favorites, but there are a couple of under the radar restaurants nearby that are fantastic as well. I don't generally ask for student discounts at fast-food restaurants, but I am sure some do have the option, or you could find coupons online for a cheaper price.

Off-Campus Dining: The off campus dining is really diverse, I can always pick something different.

Off-Campus Dining: The top places I would eat off campus were In N Out, of course they're open late and have the best hamburgers and fries ever- the cost was decent, but never received a discount! In N out was also right next to UNLV.

Then there is chipotle, they are also located next to the school- they are a bit pricey but the food is worth and HUGE!

Third was café Rio, their price is reasonable with the amount of food it comes with- which is also right next to UNLV!

There are so many places to eat in walking distance by unlv- which aren't too expensive and when you just need a break from the college food and/or miss the times of the DC, SU, and POD! (:

If it isn't the best place on the planet for food, then Las Vegas is certainly in the top three. Vegas is a hotbed for master chefs who are out to prove their worth to whoever is willing to taste. Vegas cuisine is the contemporary New York and San Francisco combined, forming an exciting atmosphere for any person with difficult taste buds to please. Wolfgang Puck, Michael Mina, and Cindy Hutsun are just three of the many stars you can find cooking up a storm at the hotels.

For those who don't have money to burn, there are still many decent places to eat. Like any city, Las Vegas has franchise restaurants like Buca di Beppo and Buffalo Wild WIngs, as well as local restaurants that can be good alternatives to hotel fine dining, but for half the price. The city is also full of cheap eats, where $10 will fill both you and a friend for the rest of the day. There are many places near campus to grab a bite. Fast food joints line the street across from UNLV's east side, and many other restaurants are scattered all around the school. Chinese food, seafood, Mexican food, and Greek food are only some of the choices in close proximity to UNLV. The Freakin' Frog is great for beer lovers: they offer more than 600 beers, many that you can't get anywhere else in Nevada.
