Off-Campus Housing: There are many apartment complexes located in the downtown area, or close enough to be within walking distance.

Off-Campus Housing: All of the costs to live in Lincoln are very expensive. The quality for the cost is not that great.

Off-Campus Housing: I mean the bottoms are the biggest hub for college student housing. And it is exactly that, college students in one area. So, it is what it is.

Off-Campus Housing: It honestly still depends on where you go. Some places will charge you basically nothing for a nice place or you'll live in a gross place in the sketch bottoms for 800+

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus housing is way better than living on-campus. For one, it's about $3000 cheaper, and that's for a year, not just nine months. The convenience of housing is pretty good too...next year I'm living a mile away from campus, which will be a 2 minute drive. So that's nice. The school does nothing to help you live off campus though, and I'll have to purchase an on-campus parking permit.

As they grow older, students embark on a whole new world: off-campus living. UNL students have fond memories of the dorms, but there comes a time when students feel they need their own place. Lucky for them, there are quite a few places in and around Lincoln for a kid to call home. The commute is the largest concern among off-campus students, and they recommend never straying too far from the nest. Also, many students prefer to live in the college communities surrounding campus.

With three out of four UNL students living off campus, apartments are highly sought after. You probably won’t live in a mansion or cook anything more advanced than pasta or cereal, but it’s college after all.
