4 College Junior

Administration: They keep everything in line without generally anything going too overboard.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The school is not too strict and it is easy to have a good time without getting into any trouble.

3 College Freshman

Administration: They have policies to cover almost every situation, like most universities. I feel like they do a good job on following through with the policies. They are very strict with parking, almost everyone I know has parking tickets.

3 College Freshman

Administration: The strictness is really high on drinking on campus. UNL is a dry campus so there is absolutely no tolerance for alcohol use on campus. Also, they take academic dishonesty very serious and there are major consequences if you are caught.

To many students’ great chagrin, the UNL campus is quite strict when it comes to its drug and alcohol policies. Students at UNL know the rules, and they know how to bend them. But even students have their limits, and they say that breaking these limits is not worth the risk. If you decide to drink on campus, be very cautious, and if you plan on doing drugs, you should either get as far away as possible or get used to the sound of the police breaking down your door.

Campus isn’t the only place in Lincoln that’s strict. The Lincoln Police are very good at intruding on off-campus parties, and they’re even better at dishing out DUIs. So, be smart when you party because chances are you’ll have to face the consequences if you’re not.
