Off-Campus Dining

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Alliance is in the middle of no where. There is a ton of fast food places that repeat as you go down the street and only 3 chain restaurants.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a few options that aren't fast food. The options themselves are pretty good and pretty reasonably priced. Most places you need a car to get there.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Jaliscos, Victorios pizza, and Doug's Classic 50's Diner are some great local favorites.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are plenty of places to go eat, however very few of them offer or promote discounts.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The Sheetz right by campus is very convenient and cheap depending on what you order. If you have money on your Purple Plus, you can use that which is always helpful.

Mount Union students are generally satisfied with the off-campus dining in Alliance, but there's some room for improvement. Students tend to frequent the fast food and chain restaurants, nearly all of which are located along State Street. A handful of places around campus allow students to pay with debit money placed on a Purple Plus card, and some also offer student discounts. Two of Mount Union's favorite vendors are Sheetz and Taco Bell, both located directly across State Street from campus and perfect for satisfying late-night cravings. There's something around for just about everyone, although healthy, vegetarian, and vegan options are somewhat limited.

While most restaurants are familiar (Applebee's, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell), there are some unique area chains and locally-owned restaurants worth checking out. For great steaks and rolls, visit Texas Roadhouse and show your Purple Plus card for a discount. If you're a vegetarian or just health-conscious, Andrea's Garden Café comes highly recommended for its selection of organic, vegetarian, and vegan options. Or, for a Mount Union rite of passage, head over to Sheetz, a full-service gas station where you can order custom-made food from a touch screen and pay with your Purple Plus Card. Whatever you're craving, chances are you can find it in Alliance or just a short drive away in Canton.
