Campus Quality

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Going to Mizzou is a great place to be a student, there is a palpable energy given off by the students and it's a great place to go because of that. There's tons of places to study and there's always something happening, in the student center, library, Speaker's Circle, Lowry Mall, etc. It's truly a great place to go as a student.

5 College Junior

Campus Quality: The student center is outstanding! There are plenty of study spaces up stairs, places to grab a bite, plenty of tables (if you can make it there before 11:30) Plus, the Shack is a great place to catch up with friends while watching the game.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: The campus is very warming there is a little construction going on as of right now but other then that everything is kept up to par.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Overall, I absolutely love my school. The biggest drawback is the cost (combined with the lack of decent scholarships - unless you're a minority or extremely lower class). Otherwise, I love how MIZZOU is one big family to me and I always miss Columbia anytime I'm away.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Life on campus couldn't really get any better. Awesome libraries with amazing hours, always something going on, great school pride, amazing rec center, and overall a close-knit community

The University is continuously making changes and updating campus facilities and grounds. Mizzou has one of the best college recreation centers in the country. It is very well maintained. The rec center includes a track, various workout equipment, a rock climbing wall, a hot tub, a sauna, and two pools—all of which are in great working condition. The campus maintenance team keeps the grounds clean, replants trees and plants, and makes sure that the greenery is top-notch during springtime.

There are many different libraries around campus, including Ellis Library, Journalism Library, and Health Sciences Library, to name a few. Ellis Library may be old, but it contains a lot of different materials. If a student can't find a book he or she needs, the interlibrary loan system allows Ellis to receive that book from a different library. There are many areas, quiet and non-quiet, around the library at which students can study. One good thing about Mizzou's campus is that there is always something going on. Different clubs will host events throughout the year. Mizzou has more than 600 clubs, so students can always find something to do. Students are informed of events through email, postings around campus, and on the events page on the University's website.
