Greek Life: Like I said before, we just got in the SEC so the greek life is trying to live up to the Ole Miss/Alabama standards. It's not bad though, you never get denied from parties if you're a female.

Athletics: We just got in the SEC a couple of years ago, so the spirit is there but it could be better.

Overall Experience: I love Mizzou so far. This upcoming semester I'll be going in as a sophomore and I'll hopefully be granted in-state tution so I'll save around $14,000. The school is def what you make of it, Missouri is an awful state, but Columbia is a fun college town.

Overall Experience: Before coming to Mizzou everyone would tell me how I won't be an individual or my class sizes will be way too big. So I was surprised when I went to my first class of my college career to find only 20 students in it. I was also surprised when I my professor of a big lecture (class of 100 plus students) knew my name when I went to talk to him at the beginning of class. My favorite professor at Mizzou was the best. All my professors are kind and caring but this professor, he went above and beyond. He was almost like a dad to our class.

Overall Experience: I am an elementary education major and Mizzou is partnered with a lot of school districts in Missouri. This means when it comes to my student teaching I can pick a school basically anywhere within Missouri. Mizzou's education program is one of the bests in Missouri and so getting a degree from this school will be good when applying for jobs. I know lot's of people who have gotten jobs right out of school as teachers that when to Mizzou. Mizzou has a great career center I visited once because I had an assignment about resumes in which we had to create and have it looked over by the career center. They really helped in making my resume the best. The even my mock interviews to help students in preparing. I feel that when it is really time for me to start looking for jobs, I know I will be in good hands.

Overall Experience: There are some professors that really care about the students and others who don't care at all and are only interested in research

Overall Experience: Most students who graduate get a job, but as for how many get a job in their field? That's hard to say.

Health & Safety: We have great resources for those that are victims of crime including several safety measurements/ precautions taken to ensure our safety every day.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: The dorms are crowded due to such little space. Even the more expensive rooms aren't that great. Do yourself a favor and live off campus. It's less expensive and much better.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I usually feel safe walking around campus but just because my mother did not raise no fool, I would never walk alone at night (anywhere). Last year there was some racial tension on campus and there were a few threats made that made me feel unsafe. There are often reports of shootings but they are usually near campus not physically on campus so while getting those notifications can be kind of scary, I feel better because I'm not directly by it. Also I do like that MU Police keep us updated with what is going on around campus. I get a text and an email and they also have a twitter account.

Greek Life: Greek life is optional, but a major part of campus life in generally. There are lots of activities greek chapters do together and on campus.

5 College Junior

Athletics: The school revolves around football and basketball.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Mizzou is a great place to be if you are involved and sociable. Otherwise, it's easy to get lost in the sea of students. So many students makes it hard to talk to professors and get close to them. Unless you are a minority or super unique in some way, you are practically invisible. There's a lot of great programs at the school and activities for students to do, but sometimes I feel like the administration doesn't really care about the students as much as their reviews.

3 College Junior

Campus Housing: Living in the dorms is a great option of student first and possibly second year students. You are right on campus so getting to class is not such a hassle like those who have to find parking spots. While you do have to cook food or buy many groceries, it is kind of sad when you are hungry late at night because there are not many late night options. I was in the dorm for two years and both times I did not really meet people or make friends with the people in my dorm, which is kind of sad. It is also kind of sad the living in a dorm costs more than an apartment.

Greek Life: I think that there is too big of a focus on Greek life. If you are not in a fraternity then you aren't allowed to go to parties but any girl is allowed, how is that fair? When I meet someone new at school (who happens to be in a sorority of fraternity) the first thing they ask is "Are you in a house?" and when I answer no they get uncomfortable and sort of awkward. I do not understand the big deal. I sometimes feel left out because I do have a lot of friends who are Greek and they have lots of events and get to have this thing in common and I do not have that with them.

Athletics: The recreational center is pretty amazing. There is a variety of equipment to be used and tons of great features. I like that it is open to all students even though varsity sports get their own facilities. I understand why varsity sports need their own facilities but I do not understand why varsity sports need their own dining hall. There is a dining hall for which only athletes can access and at this dining hall there is better food. I do not think that is fair or necessary.

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my classes. Even though my lectures are large, I have had smaller classes and made great friends in those classes. Mizzou is a very social place and big on Greek life. While I am not Greek I still have met lots of different people and I get involved in at school in different ways. For example I have joined the Mizzou Club Dance team and I work with a program called Away With Words and Numbers. I think when people say Mizzou is a party schools, I think that is just a stereotype. Mizzou cares a lot about their students' success.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I absolutely loved everything about the courses and professors as I was eager to learn every single day. The professors were more eager to tech the class as they seemed very passionate about what they were teaching the class. The class size for most of my classes were perfect and if they felt big and I did not understand something I would simply go to the office hours and get help for whatever questions I had.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The career service at Mizzou is amazing it felt like there were jobs/internships interviews every week. They go out there way to make sure every student is accommodated. Getting a degree from Mizzou will hold enormous value to me as I feel that I will have an easier time finding a job.

Health & Safety: After the previous year with the events that took place at Mizzou I can honestly say that I still feel very safe as a student there. The school took the right measures to insure every students safety. Campus crime seemed to be rare as far as I know. It felt very safe overall for me.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Living on campus was perfect for me. Everything I need was within walking distance for me including the dining hall, football stadium, classes, and the gym. The dorm I stayed in and visited were very neat and were definitely up to date. My dorm consisted of sports players mainly so everybody seemed to know each other even if you did not play on a team.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: As a non-greek I notice that their social atmosphere is huge, there are always some type of event that is being held on campus. There always seems to be a greek member anywhere you go on campus, the ones I have seen and/or spoken to seem quite friendly and love that they are apart of the greek life.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports are a huge part of the school. Almost everyday there were intramural games going on with tons of students participating in them. As for the varsity sports football is a huge focus for the school and that is where you see thousands of students go support their team.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Mizzou is the perfect choice for me due to the fun and learning environment. I was able to meet new people and learned many new things. On top of that I continue to enjoy the classes I take and am eager to get back to school.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Wouldn't have it any other way

Mizzou offers so much to its students that it is hard not to fall in love with the school. The school provides many internships through your major and different work-study opportunities dealing with specific career paths. The difficulty of the classes and the toughness of professors prepare students for work outside of school. MU is unique because it gives students so many opportunities; whether you would like to be a football star or a vet, it offers both and everything in between.

If students had to go back and redo their college application process all over again, Mizzou would still end up being many students' choice. MU offers students a lot of opportunities to advance their career paths, minds, and friendship circles. The school has provided students with everlasting experiences and knowledge.
