4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school is very diverse. It has a welcoming feeling that makes it easy for students who are far away from home. It is LGBT friendly. I am very satisfied with my school choice.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: As a part time non traditional student, it is great that the school offers part time, but the number of part time students is so small that there is little accommodation beyond offering the part time status.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: As an incoming graduate student, I was welcomed with open arms not only into my program but also onto campus. This school is filled with lovely people on a lovely campus with programs that are outstanding and faculty that actually participate in their field of study while teaching.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The college has a welcoming atmosphere.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It was my first year in college, so I was bombarded with opinions on what I should participate in, sororities to pledge to and classes I should take. I did not get a chance to explore the many options offered at my school, so I threw myself in the education aspect. I made good grades, but I did not get a chance to truly experience what was offered, which is why I rated my college experience as "ok".

Off-Campus Housing: I haven't lived off-campus, but there are constant emails of places you can stay from UMKC. A lot of people live near campus and enjoy it

Party Scene: I throw a lot of parties in my apartment, but actual parties like other colleges don't happen often

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: We're right near the plaza which has many dining options

Administration: The process to check in a visitor is a little much but other than that they are really laid back about visitors coming at any time! There is not a lot of parking so that's a hassle (I've had 3 tickets) lol. There are not a lot of social clubs, but overall, there isn't a lot of policies that are enforced.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was with a scholarship program but it's simple enough

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: There just isn't a lot of variety

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I really like the housing!

2 College Student

Party Scene: Not a great party school, parties are pretty lame

3 College Student

Campus Housing: Cafe food is horrible, dorms are small, for hot pltes or toaster allowed, RA are chill, lot of smokers

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I never moved out of my house, so I have no problem.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: It depends on what you want and what you want to spend.

3 College Freshman

Administration: They sometimes do activities on campus to let students know they're there.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I had less trouble this semester than last semester.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: I don't eat on campus often enough.

4 College Junior

Majors: I like my major & profs

4 College Junior

Scholarships: The guy in the office is so RUDDE!!!! But other than that I got what I needed

3 College Junior

Campus Food: The food in the cafe could be a lot better. Lets face it there are serious limited options

4 College Student

Off-Campus Housing: My apartment complex is expensive, but still slightly less than the dorms. It is very nice and close to campus, I am very excited to being living there.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: Kansas City has tons of places to eat. There are many restaurants within walking distance and endless ones if you are willing to drive; I am still discovering new places.

Scholarships: I am in the medical program, which is extremely expensive. However, most scholarships are "only for traditional four-year students" and as such I am disqualified from them. I am eligible for their National Merit scholarship, but it has been a hassle getting them to give it to me.
