4 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my time at UMKC, because it is a school where everyone is unapologetically themselves.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love my school! It is quite expensive for no reason but I love the atmosphere and the teachers are great!

5 College Junior

Overall Experience: UMKC has an amazing business school. It is one of the most professional programs that you could attend.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: There are aspects that are wonderful. There are aspects that aren't so great. It just depends.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: So far the school has been great, very diverse

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Good school, very friendly too.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: While the school itself is not one of the greats academically, I have had an amazing time at school so far. Most of my classes have been interesting and fun, if not a little too easy or not structured well. My experiences are what made my first year at university so great. I have a great, steady set of friends from church, many of whom go to UMKC as well. We hang out during the week, on campus and off, and have bible studies and other things at school. I've met so many interesting people from being here at UMKC. It also gave me the opportunity to work at my first "real" jobs (ones that I had to interview for, and weren't at my grandmother's diner). UMKC may not be an elite school, but I am happy with it.

Overall Experience: I wish some of the majors I considered were there.

Overall Experience: I enjoy my current school. My favorite thing about it would have to be the campus and the architecture of the buildings. My school is unique for being set near the state line of Missouri and Kansas. There are plenty of shops, sport stadiums, concerts, and other activities for students to take part of. I would most definitely choose my school again if I had to. The staff are supporting and helpful and the material they teach is relevant and useful to all studies.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The school is very diverse. It has a welcoming feeling that makes it easy for students who are far away from home. It is LGBT friendly. I am very satisfied with my school choice.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: As a part time non traditional student, it is great that the school offers part time, but the number of part time students is so small that there is little accommodation beyond offering the part time status.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: As an incoming graduate student, I was welcomed with open arms not only into my program but also onto campus. This school is filled with lovely people on a lovely campus with programs that are outstanding and faculty that actually participate in their field of study while teaching.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The college has a welcoming atmosphere.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It was my first year in college, so I was bombarded with opinions on what I should participate in, sororities to pledge to and classes I should take. I did not get a chance to explore the many options offered at my school, so I threw myself in the education aspect. I made good grades, but I did not get a chance to truly experience what was offered, which is why I rated my college experience as "ok".

Off-Campus Housing: I haven't lived off-campus, but there are constant emails of places you can stay from UMKC. A lot of people live near campus and enjoy it

Party Scene: I throw a lot of parties in my apartment, but actual parties like other colleges don't happen often

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: We're right near the plaza which has many dining options

Administration: The process to check in a visitor is a little much but other than that they are really laid back about visitors coming at any time! There is not a lot of parking so that's a hassle (I've had 3 tickets) lol. There are not a lot of social clubs, but overall, there isn't a lot of policies that are enforced.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I was with a scholarship program but it's simple enough

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: There just isn't a lot of variety

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I really like the housing!

2 College Student

Party Scene: Not a great party school, parties are pretty lame

3 College Student

Campus Housing: Cafe food is horrible, dorms are small, for hot pltes or toaster allowed, RA are chill, lot of smokers

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I never moved out of my house, so I have no problem.
