Majors: Academics are ridiculously hard. There is no such thing as a "joke" class. You have to work at every class to get a good grade. However, people are awesome and campus life is great.

Party Scene: Campus Life – It's not a huge city or anything so there aren't too many options or a lot of diversity but you're with your peers and everybody is very open so it's great! Nightlife/classes/dorms/housing are all near each other so it's not a hassle to go out either

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: Learning Experience – Amazing time. Most fun I've ever had but also the hardest time I've ever had. Made amazing friends and met so many different people

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Red cups can be seen often in front of yards but we have to keep in my mind, most of those who take part in drinking are 21. Drugs aren't really seen and it just depends on who you hang out with but drugs are not visible and popular on campus.

Majors: Psychology is very intriguing to me so I really like it. I enjoy taking the courses needed. One thing I would say is that it is a little difficult for me to declare my major as psychology because I need to take per-requisites before I can declare my major. There are a couple of courses that need to be taken but because I want to go to dental school, I also have to take per-requisites for dental that it may take some time but majoring in psychology is something that is intriguing to me and that I enjoy. As of right now I do not have any concerns with finding a job, I am more focused on getting into dental school. However, instead of majoring in biology, I think majoring in something other than a major that will fulfill requisites for dental school helps me enjoy my college education more.

Party Scene: Tons of Great Places to Go Out – The food is top-notch and there is a ton of variety!

2 College Junior

Parking: I would recommend going car-less and using the excellent bus system

4 College Senior

Majors: Very Easy – For my degree, I just had to enroll in some pre-req classes and send a quick email to declare.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Watch Your Stuff – It seems I get at least three emails a month about something being stolen on campus. Aside from that danger, there are things in place to add security at night, tons of free transportation and security is highly visible.

3 College Senior

Party Scene: A Lot Going on – There's always something to do, a lot of greek life and bars/clubs open to most students. During football season, there is no shortage for entertainment.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: You Can Find It All – Just about any religion, ethnicity, economic background, race, etc. can be found and the University of Michigan, and not just one, plenty of them. It is possible for everyone to find a group that they are familiar and comfortable around. The only downfall is that the groups do not always mingle into groups of all different backgrounds, but stick to people who are similar to themselves.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Positives and Negatives – Greek life does provide some good aspects to our campus, for example, some sororities and fraternities volunteer their time and raise money for good causes. It also can be a family away from home to those who need it. Sometimes Greek life is too large and UM though and those not in it are looked down on by those in them and are not allowed into their social events. There is definitely angst between those in them and those not in them.

Majors: Satisfied but It's a Struggle! I am happy with my major choice because it is what I wanted to do.I am very confident that I will find a job because of my intern experience. However, all engineering programs are extremely difficult and take a huge amount of effort. The reason I gave a B- is because often times, classes are made that much more difficult by a professor who doesn't speak english. This only hurts the students!

3 College Senior

Weather: Lots of Precipitation – Feels like it's always some kind of precipitation going on, whether it be snow, rain, hail, etc. Also always a little warmer/colder (depending on season) than other places in MI. But Ann Arbor is very scenic and pretty, so even when there's a huge storm, still manages to look nice!

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Almost an a+ – The only reason I didn't give my experience an A+ is because I am in an extremely hard program that is also extremely successful which takes away from my overall enjoyment of school. If I was in an easier program, there is no doubt this would be an A+! Some of my favorite moments have definitely happened at football games!

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: Not Much Variety – There are alot of decent looking people at Umich, but it's pretty easy to get some guy/girl groups confused because of lack of variety. There a ton of fratty/sorority, Northface, Ugg boot wearing girls/guys that all just become a blur. If these people are your type, then you're in luck! If you're like me and this type does absolutely nothing for you, it might be a little more difficult to find someone you like. There's also some hipsters, and some not as attractive people. But there are a few sexys running around!

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: Mostly Drinking – Personally, I don't know too many people who do drugs besides smoking weed or Adderall. Most students drink on campus, and for the most part do it in a way where it doesn't negatively affect others around. This is why I gave it a B.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports Are BIG – The football and now the basketball programs are nationally recognized. One of the greatest NCAA sports programs in the country. The BIG House is legendary. The history is a huge part of everything. All of the students go and it gets crazy loud. So much fun.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Annoying Process – You have to fill out a bunch of online forms that take a long time and some work. Could be easier.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Winter Is Tough – The first few weeks are extremely hot and most dorms do not have A/C. Winter is usually cold and snowy and walking to class is not the most fun.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Drugs and Alcohol Are Popular – Alcohol is very visible and popular among the student body. Also, smoking is popular amount people, and even some harder drugs appear every now and then.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Not Too Many Problems – At U of M, you really just fill out the FAFSA and they do the rest. Can't complain too much. It's completely based on need- some may be added on merit. You can find your own scholarships and they will probably honor them.

4 College Junior

Campus Housing: Depends on the Dorm and Your Major – Markley is the best for freshman but the lack of AC is a bummer. Being a sophomore and above definitely helps in the area of getting a dorm you want.

4 College Junior

Transportation: All Types of Ways to Transport Yourself – School buses run all the time during the day so it is not difficult to go between campuses for class. The public buses are free for students, which is nice, but don't run for very long so you can't do much off-campus at night without a car or without paying for a taxi. The taxi services are cheap and fast so it's not a bad option.

2 College Junior

Weather: Winter Sucks – During the winter months, walking to class is miserable. But before it begins to really become cold during the fall and once it warms up again in the spring, going to class is so fun because everyone is out sitting on every possible inch of grass.
