Off-Campus Housing: Overall Pretty Helpful – The school is really great about providing information about both on and off-campus housing. Of course, if you want off-campus housing you need to be prepared for a more independent search since you will be negotiating with non-University renters and landlords.

Off-Campus Dining: Something for Everyone! The food here is so yummy. You can find something cheap and quick or sit down for a nice meal. Restaurant week is great too. Lots of local restaurants have special deals twice a year. It is really fun!

Off-Campus Housing: Live in a Housing Cooperative! I absolutely love it! I live in Vail house in Kerry Town. I love the home cooked meals, the music students that play our baby grand piano and the fact that we have a kiln and a potters wheel downstairs. Everyone is so nice and helpful and best of all cooperative! I pay 586 a month for utilities, organic local food, cooked meals, access to the kiln, pianos, potters wheel, and internet.

Diversity: Diverse, but Segregated by Concentrations – The students of UMich are extremely diverse, and it's not uncommon to see interracial couples, or friend groups. The one common denominator between all the students? Everyone is fairly intelligent. Despite this, most students tend to hang out with other people from their respective racial/socioeconomic cliques.

Local Area: Best Town to Spend Your College Years – Ann Arbor...Where do I begin? There's always something to do every second of the day/night. If you like culture, we have a myriad of museums (most are free). If you like to party, we have countless bars and clubs. If you just want to study, our libraries open at seven in the morning, and close at five in the morning; but they're open all hours during finals and midterms. Do you like nature? There's the arboretum, also known as Nichol's Arboretum, a humungous chunk of fertile land and humbling forest-- complete with trails, and a majestic prairie. But, honestly, the best thing about Ann Arbor? The people are incredibly relaxed, friendly, intelligent, and kind.

Academics: The University of Michigan is fantastic academically. We have the greatest professors who know all about what they're teaching. With each class you will usually have a separate discussion with a graduate instructor to further your understanding of the material. And if it's needed, there are always workshops and special help that can be sought out.

Drug Safety: Typical College Campus – Alcohol is present at almost every party, however signs are put up to discourage underage drinking. Marijuana is quite popular but none of them affect those who choose not to partake in the usage of these drugs.

Diversity: The University of Michigan is known for it's immense diversity and I love it. There are so many different cultures to be surrounded with and get to know. It really is quite an eye-opening experience.

Off-Campus Dining: Very health conscious, pretty affordable, and some really good Indian cuisine.

Guys & Girls: Not Bad but Could Be Better – It's a huge school I don't think many people have a hard time fitting in with a group they like. However, it's definitely not as fashionable as more metropolitan cities and being a big sports school you definitely see a lot of fraternity/sorority types.

3 College Senior

Majors: Academics are ridiculously hard. There is no such thing as a "joke" class. You have to work at every class to get a good grade. However, people are awesome and campus life is great.

4 College Senior

Party Scene: Campus Life – It's not a huge city or anything so there aren't too many options or a lot of diversity but you're with your peers and everybody is very open so it's great! Nightlife/classes/dorms/housing are all near each other so it's not a hassle to go out either

Overall Experience: Learning Experience – Amazing time. Most fun I've ever had but also the hardest time I've ever had. Made amazing friends and met so many different people

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Red cups can be seen often in front of yards but we have to keep in my mind, most of those who take part in drinking are 21. Drugs aren't really seen and it just depends on who you hang out with but drugs are not visible and popular on campus.

Majors: Psychology is very intriguing to me so I really like it. I enjoy taking the courses needed. One thing I would say is that it is a little difficult for me to declare my major as psychology because I need to take per-requisites before I can declare my major. There are a couple of courses that need to be taken but because I want to go to dental school, I also have to take per-requisites for dental that it may take some time but majoring in psychology is something that is intriguing to me and that I enjoy. As of right now I do not have any concerns with finding a job, I am more focused on getting into dental school. However, instead of majoring in biology, I think majoring in something other than a major that will fulfill requisites for dental school helps me enjoy my college education more.

Party Scene: Tons of Great Places to Go Out – The food is top-notch and there is a ton of variety!

2 College Junior

Parking: I would recommend going car-less and using the excellent bus system

4 College Senior

Majors: Very Easy – For my degree, I just had to enroll in some pre-req classes and send a quick email to declare.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Watch Your Stuff – It seems I get at least three emails a month about something being stolen on campus. Aside from that danger, there are things in place to add security at night, tons of free transportation and security is highly visible.

3 College Senior

Party Scene: A Lot Going on – There's always something to do, a lot of greek life and bars/clubs open to most students. During football season, there is no shortage for entertainment.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: You Can Find It All – Just about any religion, ethnicity, economic background, race, etc. can be found and the University of Michigan, and not just one, plenty of them. It is possible for everyone to find a group that they are familiar and comfortable around. The only downfall is that the groups do not always mingle into groups of all different backgrounds, but stick to people who are similar to themselves.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Positives and Negatives – Greek life does provide some good aspects to our campus, for example, some sororities and fraternities volunteer their time and raise money for good causes. It also can be a family away from home to those who need it. Sometimes Greek life is too large and UM though and those not in it are looked down on by those in them and are not allowed into their social events. There is definitely angst between those in them and those not in them.

Majors: Satisfied but It's a Struggle! I am happy with my major choice because it is what I wanted to do.I am very confident that I will find a job because of my intern experience. However, all engineering programs are extremely difficult and take a huge amount of effort. The reason I gave a B- is because often times, classes are made that much more difficult by a professor who doesn't speak english. This only hurts the students!

3 College Senior

Weather: Lots of Precipitation – Feels like it's always some kind of precipitation going on, whether it be snow, rain, hail, etc. Also always a little warmer/colder (depending on season) than other places in MI. But Ann Arbor is very scenic and pretty, so even when there's a huge storm, still manages to look nice!

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Almost an a+ – The only reason I didn't give my experience an A+ is because I am in an extremely hard program that is also extremely successful which takes away from my overall enjoyment of school. If I was in an easier program, there is no doubt this would be an A+! Some of my favorite moments have definitely happened at football games!
