4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We get emails when things do happen on campus, and the college makes sure we have outlets if anything happens.

Overall Experience: I plan on going into ministry, so my prospects are a little different than everyone else's.

Campus Housing: The housing process is awful, but the actual facilities are wonderful.

Greek Life: I'm not a part of Greek life, but what I know of it, it's a big institution here on campus.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I don't tend to attend sports events, but what I have seen has shown our school cares a lot for them.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I am very much enjoying the University of Michigan currently. While signing up for classes and housing is inefficient and a pain, the classes themselves are very useful and interesting.

Health & Safety: I do not drink but I believe alcohol plays a part in sexual assaults. There is a lot of partying that goes on here.

Overall Experience: My sister got a job at McKinsey in New York right out of college. She has a great job and loves it. I plan on using her to help me get a job. She would love to put in a good word for a Michigan student. She applied for the job through the career center and had her first interview on campus.

Overall Experience: I do not like the way math classes are instructed. I don't mind learning the material on my own, but I do not like group work. Some kids are lazy and do not do their part, then the committed kids have to do their part too.

4 College Student

Greek Life: Not involved with Greek life.

5 College Student

Overall Experience: Love most of my classes. Do not like group work. Not all students are motivated.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: We have very comprehensive security here.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Huge variety, challenging classes, great profs.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: One of the largest alumni networks in the country.

Campus Housing: The security is incredible, to an extent.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greeks are pretty stereotypical around here.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: There is an amazing amount of school spirit here.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There are so many options here, I can do anything.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: As long as you are safe about it and no one overdrinks or gets hurt, you can be pretty sure you'll fly under the radar. Be smart, stay safe.

Health & Safety: I really wish there was a small medical center on North campus-- when I am ill, the prospect of boarding a bus and riding all the way to UHS makes me even iller than i already was. Just maybe somewhere where I can take my temperature and get a strep test?

Safety on campus is actually pretty good. I've always been a skittish person, but I've never been approached unfavorably or with bad intentions. Safety officers in the dorms and in the campus make it a priority to keep people safe, and the blue light phones are everywhere you might need them.

Overall Experience: Professors in my field of study are always willing to discuss current topics both in lectures and in world news, and address any questions I may have with expertise and gusto. I am very happy to say that there is a significant alumni and research network available, and I will be taking full advantage of plenty of the internships and job opportunities that exist.

Overall Experience: Employer recruiting is top-notch. Career fairs can be a bit nerve-wracking and even hectic, but many fantastic employers come. Career prospects are good for most science fields- in general, but especially with a degree from this school.

Campus Housing: Things are generally very clean where I live, in Bursley. I enjoy the quieter atmosphere of North Campus as well, even though it takes me an excessive amount of time to get to some of my classes. People in Bursely are relatively social--a lot of them are engineers, so they often have a fair bit of work to do and keep to themselves-- but their field of study also lends itself to cool projects and events down at Pierpont and in buildings on North. The rooms are pretty nice--not too small, not very large. Lounges and study spaces are fantastic.

Greek Life: I know very little about Greek life, but I have heard tell of not-so-great things happening. I will probably just stay away--better safe than sorry.
