3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial aid is given very sparingly. A lot of my friends couldn't go to UM because of the lack of financial aid offered. In-state is a great deal though.

1 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It seems like the only thing to do most nights is go out drinking. Marijuana use is basically the only illicit drug used. Campus police are notorious for busting underage drinkers resulting in far too severe academic repercussions- at least according to my experiences.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I feel the education and the opportunities are endless.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Buses go around campus a lot but they stop pretty early.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I feel absolutely safe on campus and I rarely hear reports of any illegal activity

5 College Freshman

Campus Food: There are tons of places to eat and all different sorts of food with lots of places open late

3 College Freshman

Parking: Certain parking lots tend to have availability while others are a nightmare. The parking lot in front of West Quad tends to have availability. Parking on S. State St. tends to be a nightmare due to pedestrians, traffic, and spaces fill up quickly. Parking garages tend to have more availability but still require a walk. Parking on Main St. is hard to find during the dinner rush.

Academics: U of M is a challenging school but it has all the resources to help you if you find yourself struggling. It is not impossible to get good grades. You have to balance studies and having fun in order to succeed. U of M is very well known and a degree from this university goes a long way.

Transportation: It's often crowded and sometimes the schedule is unreliable. They don't run very often on the weekends, but during the week they are fairly easy to use.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: SPorts are a huge part of Michigan's culture and the athletes are some of the yes tint he country. They are able to use great practice and training facilities to perfect their skills and make their school proud.

Local Area: Lots too do around Ann Arbor. Can meet any type of person and do just about anything.

Athletics: Varsity sports are very important. Most students attend football games. Also many facilities available for non-athletes.

4 Recent Alumnus

Health & Safety: Very safe on campus. Many campus police and emergency call lights.

4 Recent Alumnus

It has lots of neducational acticites that helps my brain wake up in order to start my lesson. I have lots of communicators that help me become a better person that i want and can be for the future.

3 College Freshman

Majors: English is an easy subject that I can understand and go on with. Some diffucluties that i go through in English class is accually doing it alone. I can't help myself alone I would perfer an student or teachers valuable help. Essays are the #1 easy assigmnets that i could do alone and accullay get it done in one hour or even before the due date.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I received no merit based scholarships from u of m so I had to apply for private scholarships.

Party Scene: There are plenty of things to do at night whether you drink or not and whether you are in greek life or not. Frat parties and bars like Skeeps are fun but not to worry if you don't have a fake id. Movie theaters are within walking distance and there's plenty of great restaurants. Plus when the weather is nice, it's great to walk the State Street and Main St areas.

3 College Sophomore

Local Area: Ann Arbor Culture – The culture in ann arbor is very liberal - "hippyish". Many students from the 1960s and 70s never left and they help create a hippy atmosphere. Maybe this helps create a certain charm or maybe it makes you roll your eyes and ask the 40-50 year olds to "grow up".
That being said, it is a nice college town. Probably very typical.

Transportation: The transportation options are great. There are university buses that run between North Campus-Medical Campus- Central Campus and Athletic Campus. It's free and very convenient (timely). We also have access to city of Ann Arbor transportation, which is great and also free for students.

5 College Senior

Academics: Awesome SWK graduate program as it is #1 in the nation. Knowledgeable and experienced faculty. MANY internship opportunities and the school of swk truly assists their students with any academic needs they may have.
