4 College Freshman

Majors: i am not officially in the chemical engineering program yet, but engineering as a whole has been a great experience so far. there are always advisers prepared to help you with whatever you have a question about. the workload is tough, but i find that school is much more interesting when you're challenged and it's not impossible if you put the time and effort in!

Off-Campus Housing: most students move out of the dorms after freshman year due to the very limited options for upperclassmen but off-campus housing is generally a lot cheaper than the dorms as well. there are many places to live, but you have to start searching early to get what you want!

Off-Campus Dining: so many places to choose from!

Campus Quality: you can't beat game day at the university of michigan, when the streets are rivers of maize and blue. tailgates on every corner and virtually anyone's invited. it's an experience i'll never forget

Campus Quality: michigan is the ultimate college experience because here we live out our motto of "work hard, play hard." during the week, we are very focused on school and everyone is looking to get the best possible grades, but on the weekends, many people go out and there are always parties to find. and you know if you meet someone at a party, chances are they're a future doctor or engineer too.

Health & Safety: campus security officers patrol the dorms at night and check up to make sure no one from off campus is where they shouldn't be but there are often off campus crime issues that come with a city.

5 College Freshman

Local Area: ann arbor is the quintessential college town with plenty of places to eat, bars, and convenience stores that can serve as grocery stores when you need them too. i love living in A2!

4 College Freshman

Technology: as an engineer, i often need access to computers with special software and there are always plenty to use in various computing sites around campus

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: my dorm is very old, but it is in the absolute best possible location on campus so it's a trade-off. but i have loved meeting people and i am good friends with most of the people on my floor.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: there are always different events being advertised around campus that embrace the diversity of umich

Weather: can be cold, but i am from michigan so i'm used to it. the beautiful days sure are much more appreciated though
