Overall Experience: Its super hard but it is so worth all of the work!

Campus Housing: I was not pleased with my housing selection. I am paying the same price for a double that is much smaller than someone in East or South Quad. Also, I was forced to live on North Campus for sophomore year because there isn't enough room on Central Campus for returning students, which I do not believe is fair. I really think we lack when it comes to housing.

Greek Life: I am not a part of Greek Life currently, but because of their influence on campus, I am strongly considering rushing next fall.

Athletics: Big House Football is definitely an experience I couldn't live without. One of my favorite aspects of this school.

Overall Experience: The academics are great, however I have had a lot of difficultly with scheduling and housing. The lottery system they use is a joke. During my freshman year, I've been screwed over more than once.

Health & Safety: I would say that in the next couple of years, my ranking of three stars will go up - sexual safety initiatives have really started to grow this year.

Campus Housing: There are some fantastic areas to live on Michigan's campus (East Quad, South Quad, Mosher-Jordan), but most freshmen get put on north campus (Bursley, Baits, Northwood) - north campus is a 10-minute bus ride away from central campus, and it's really inconvenient to live up there.

Overall Experience: I can't say enough about how much I've loved my time at U of M. I've expanded my mind in ways I didn't think possible before attending, and have met some of my best friends. I feel that this school is truly a perfect balance of tough, challenging academics, and extra-curricular activities; Michigan produces well-rounded students that are prepared to take on the real world after graduation.

Athletics: I absolutely love the atmosphere during the fall because of football season - everyone is so excited about the Wolverines, and you can feel the school spirit when you walk onto campus.

Overall Experience: I loved most of the courses I took, the ones I didn't I had to take to fulfill diversity requirements. The professors are all really passionate about what they teach and most are helpful if you go talk to them. I didn't mind the larger class sizes, you are broken up into discussion groups for every class anyway. You can always make your school feel smaller but not larger.

Overall Experience: Everyone knows the Maize and Blue.

Health & Safety: My friends and I like to go out and have a good time, but we don't put ourselves in stupid situations. Nonetheless, things can happen and have happened to people, but I don't think anymore than what I would hear in other cities.

Campus Housing: They are almost done remodeling a lot of the central campus dorms, so now they are so much nicer.

Greek Life: Wasn't a part of it but some of my close friends were. They are good for parties and friends!

Overall Experience: I wouldn't change a thing- except being active in more extracurriculars.

Athletics: Football Saturdays are like church on Sundays. The sports culture is there to participate in if it suits you, but you wouldn't feel out of place not taking a big part in it.

Health & Safety: As a female, I feel pretty safe walking home from the library at night, but I only feel safe walking back from a party if I have friends to walk home with. Most of the on-campus crimes I hear about are people's stuff getting stolen at the library, but I try to be extremely cautious at parties because getting roofied does happen to people.

Greek Life: Most non-Greeks don't particularly like the Greeks because they see them as snobby, spoiled rich kids. Non-Greeks appreciate the parties they throw, but most prefer house parties with their non-Greek friends.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I feel that U-M is one of the schools with the most school spirit; you will always see someone wearing the Block M as you walk around campus. People get extremely excited about the football games, and pretty excited about the basketball games. The on-campus gyms for students to use are decent.

Overall Experience: I really have enjoyed my time at U-M so far. The professors are great, and the courses are intellectually stimulating and challenging in a good way. It's also very exciting how many research opportunities are available to undergrads. With the wide variety of student orgs, it's easy to find your niche and a tight-knit group of friends. I would definitely choose U-M if I had to pick again. The one thing that bothers me a bit is that since it's a large school, it's sometimes hard to find quality individualized help. For example, a lot of the advisors don't always know the answer to your specific question and will just refer you to someone else. Also, in the large introductory science courses, even in office hours it's difficult to get one-on-one time with the professor because so many people attend them.

Health & Safety: Everyone I know feels unsafe on campus. I don;t know where they're coming from, unless its rich suburban america. People standing on street corners aren't going to pull a gun and rape you, no matter what they look like. The world is a safe place, you are not at risk. Thanks, signing off.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Upper level, honors mathematics courses and Faculty are unlile anything I have seen in my life, small enough to get close with professor and learn lots. Physics program on the other hand is terrible, large lectures, no office hours, all around trash.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Definitely possible to get a job outside of college, I really should check out some of the career resources available, but no one reminded me

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: On-campus housing is ridiculously expensive, and our hall's RA literally didn't give a s***. I saw him maybe twice all year.
