3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Most non-greek people hate greek life. Greek life tends to have a bad rep on campus for doing really stupid things.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: The school spirit is amazing. I am not normally a sports person but I love to go to the events. Athletics are a huge deal here.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: There are a lot of wealthy students here, and as a not wealthy student, it is hard to fit in with the lifestyle here. Although there are many people I adore here, I honestly don't know if I would pick this school again. The academic aspect is wonderful, I just don't think that the type of people here are my kind of people.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Overall, there is a wide variety of activities to satisfy all interests, a lot of interesting and thought-provoking classes to take, staffed with dedicated and knowledgeable instructors, and a plethora of student organizations in which one can take part, though there is a bit of a learning curve to overcome when starting one's freshman year.

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Sometimes it's hard to get into the courses you want, but overall the classes are great once you're in

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: Going to the University of Michigan has opened a lot of doors for me--I'm thankful I went here

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: This campus is pretty safe. Rarely are there any serious crimes that I'm aware of

1 College Senior

Campus Housing: Lived in Bursley on North Campus freshman year. Not a great experience--not close to campus and there was nothing that good about the dorm that made up for its bad proximity.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I'm in Greek Life and I think it's just okay. There are some community service and other charitable events, but it's mainly about partying.

5 College Senior

Overall Experience: I'm about to graduate next month and I have nothing to complain about and only positive things to say. I got a very good college experience at a good price as an in-state student.

5 College Senior

Athletics: Michigan Football is king here. Basketball is second, and hockey is third. Sports are very important to students, alumni, and fans who didn't even go here.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: What makes the school unique is its warm, inclusive and highly-collaborative culture.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: It has one of the best football teams in the country!

4 College Senior

Overall Experience: Almost all of my professors were phenomenal, and practically all of them were at least very good at what they do. I enjoyed so may of my classes and learned so much!

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: I feel like the prospects just with an undergraduate degree in general are not fantastic, but I am very satisfied and feel like I have a leg up to have an undergrad degree from U of M. I am continuing into my grad studies.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: I have heard of people being sexually assaulted and a friend of mine was raped. I personally rarely felt threatened out on the streets, but its not the safest of environments.

5 College Freshman

Health & Safety: I think this is more of a societal issue, but people generally do not take sexual assault seriously, or try to blame the victim. More can be done.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: I think overall, it is the best education you will get in Michigan. It is a very challenging school

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: A degree here is very valuable, especially if you choose a challenging major or apply to graduate school

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Your housing quality depends on where you end up living.

5 College Freshman

Greek Life: Mostly a very rich/pretentious group.

5 College Freshman

Athletics: We are known for our football team. Go Harbaugh

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: There is always something to do, but there are many weeder classes, especially for Pre-Med students.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: Very small rooms in Bursley. Proximity to the school of music was great. Felt like there were not many amenities, but I enjoyed the Living Arts community. I think I would have had a much more difficult time living in the dorms if I was not in a smaller section/living community. It gave a sense of unity and friendliness to an otherwise huge form filled with strangers, especially in the beginning.

2 College Senior

Greek Life: Just from what I see on the streets on weekends, the way girls dress, the litter on the streets, drunk people. I tried to go to a couple parties freshman year and I just felt horrible about being around people in greek life. Very cliquey and the focus on alcohol made me feel empty. I fee lucky that I was never a part of Greek life and that I did not get caught up in the alcohol and gross parties.
