4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Going to U of M Ann Arbor is a great experience. It is challenging and rigorous, but the environment encourages a drive and determination toward success.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Large "weeder" classes have extremely high numbers of students failing, with very little concern for the student as a learner. Often students are mere numbers in large classes and little opportunities exist to build quality relationships between student and teacher.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Counselors have such high numbers of students to service, there are few opportunities for personalized guidance and assistance for a variety of student needs.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: It is a very unsafe choice to walk alone after dark. Unfortunately, there are few free options when going to and from evening work hours.

2 College Junior

Campus Housing: On-campus rentals completely gouge students for extremely high rent, for very little space and deplorable conditions. Sadly, it's still less expensive than dorm living.

3 College Junior

Greek Life: Most Greeks are involved in partying as a top priority, followed by elite socializing, then finally philanthropy as a way to network post grad.

4 College Junior

Athletics: There are many opportunities for students to be involved in athletics, at many levels.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: A student can easily become a mere number or statistic among large numbers of students. Even when students advocate for their needs, there are limited resources available to effectively help a majority of students facing a variety of needs.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I just wish people were less phony. I hate the tshirts the Greeks wear. We make fun of them.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I hope I get a job

2 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I need to walk in groups at night. It's a little sketchy because people who are not students are lurking. Homeless on the street during the day can get in the way but they mostly stick to themselves. When it gets really cold, I heard it is going to be a ghost town at night.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't like how some of us are squished in and dorms are spread all over and all my friends ended up on North campus and I ended up in this small dorm with hardly anyone in it and I have to walk to uber long distances to get to class. I am not looking forward to the snow.

Greek Life: Full of people who buy friends and claim they are doing philanthropy. A lot of bad things have happened here over the year. People destroying property at ski lodges and people destroying their own reps and destroying the reps of what were once reputable sororities and fraternities. I am embarrassed by it, and the president of the university has just about had it. I wish I picked a school where people were a little more genuine and did good things for the world. I know they are here, but they do not get as much attention as the greeks who get into the newspapers. A lot of following and bossing around in Greek life. Have some self-confidence, people. Where is your self-worth and pride?

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Football is fun. Nice athletic facilities. Club sports are fun! It gets really cold here though and we can't always be outside, but my first winter here was not snowy at all. I am not looking forward to a dark and cold winter and being trapped inside and having to walk through ice and snow in the dark.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: It's a mixed thing here. Fake Greeks and even some who are real but act fake to be real but just put on a constant front. I just thought there would be more down to earth people because, you know, it is Michigan, but there's a lot of people who are just so into being immature. I love when I meet people who are into school and party normal and have respect for others and themselves.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Football here is the big thing, but there are many other athletic opportunities that anyone can try out for. I am part of a competitive dance team, and of course we have archery, basketball, soccer, track, etc.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have loved my first year here. There are so many opportunities here that the students can take advantage of.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Classes are challenging, but they enable you to learn a lot. I've generally had good experiences with my classes and professors.

Campus Housing: I live in a smaller dorm so I don't have any experience with South Quad and the like, but I have loved my experience in my dorm. There's a great community and atmosphere, and I've made many good friends there.

Athletics: I'm not that into sports, but if you like that sort of thing U of M is perfect.

Overall Experience: U of M is a fantastic school, and Ann Arbor is the place to be.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I have enjoyed my classes. The larger ones are easy to get lost among the crowd in, but the smaller ones are effective for learning.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: U of M has a great standing among employers. I have had no trouble pursuing internships.
