Campus Housing: North Campus has the most outdated dorms, and the least convenient as far as proximity to classes, therefore they are the worst options. South, East and North Quad were all recently renovated so they would be the best options. The cost is even across dorms, the only difference is by room size (Double, Triple, Single etc)

Transportation: Transportation is convenient, campus and city buses are free for students and usually come close to their scheduled times. Campus buses usually don't have a wait period past 30 minutes, except on weekends. North Campus commuters should always plan for an extra 30 minute wait

Greek Life: Our school has a frat row of white Greek houses, so housing is available for those groups. A lot of students go Greek, but many go into professional fraternities instead of social ones. Overall the party scene is dominated by Greeks, but you don't need to be Greek to enjoy them.

Administration: Campus Authorities are generally friendly and easy to get along with, but they are very strict on public and underage drinking. You don't want to be obviously drunk outside of a party or in your dorm because security does patrol the dorms and campus during the huge party seasons: Welcome Week, Halloween Weekend and St. Patrick's Weekend. The school has a no tolerance policy for cheating, they take their honor code very seriously, and it is definitely not worth the risk.

Local Area: Ann Arbor locals are very friendly towards students, its common for people of the area to lounge around on campus with their children or pets. It is a fairly safe city and with it's own hospital and health center, medical attention is readily available if need be. Campus is located right next to downtown Ann Arbor. There are two "main" street type areas on campus: State St and South University. A couple of blocks over from State Street is actual downtown Ann Arbor. It's possible to walk there but that gets closer to where the convenience of a car would come into play. But there are plenty of entertainment and shopping areas, as well as dining options, on the two main streets to never need to go to actual Downtown.

Off-Campus Housing: Off cMpus housing is available easily, but it is not really needed until your junior year. Housing is guaranteed for freshman, and due to limited space and convenience most upperclassmen move into apartments. Depending on the convenience of the location, the cost can be anywhere from ridiculously high to reasonable price. Most apartments have some utilities included in the rent.

Technology: WI-fi is easily accessible anywhere on campus, except it occasionally goes out due to the heavy usage. However, it gets fixed quickly. There are computer labs almost everywhere, so they are available, but it is extremely difficult to access them during finals.

Weather: As a state, Michigan's weather is extremely unpredictable and Ann Arbor is very windy. In the fall the wind is obnoxious and rain can get blown sideways and the snow lasts quite a few months. So clothing for each specific season is necessary.

Campus Quality: We offer one of the best liberal and comprehensive educations in the country. The campus is beautiful and its a great combination of nature and suburbia.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Quality: Student life is busy and expansive at the University. They have everything at the school, and if an organization doesn't exist for what you like you can start one. Its easy to get involved, annually we have an event called Festifall where all the student orgs gather and set up booths in the middle of campus so students can browse.

Scholarships: /I haven't had too many problems, but I know some people who had a few issues with getting their aid. So as long as you stay on top of it yourself you should be fine.

Parking: Parking is difficult on campus because it is a predominantly walking campus. Generally the convenience of driving is lost if you're not going significantly off campus due to most arming areas not being in convenient locations. There really isn't a need for a car on campus, its easier to just use the campus buses and walk or a taxi.

Guys & Girls: The students are like typical college students. People generally wear chill clothing for most of the school year, and the majority of campus is in Michigan gear on a daily basis.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Our fan support is among the best in the country, it is common knowledge that the atmosphere of the Big House is unrivaled in college football. A lot of students are involved in sports on campus, and our varsity teams do extremely well. Most get overshadowed by basketball and football, but they all rank well in their divisions.

Academics: The professors are all very knowledgeable about their subjects. The work load is intense, especially in the common prerequisites like Calculus and Economics 101, so studying is mandated. Registering for classes can be a headache due to the amount of students, but there are classes available for every interest.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: The workload is intense but intriguing. The professors are professionals and have a lot of experience. The downside is that classes are curved, so your grade is in comparison to others in your class. Excluding that, it is one of the best business programs in the country.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Dorms are definitely an experience that I think everyone should experience and I am glad that I had the opportunity to live in them because I feel like I learned a lot about what it means to live with others that are not your parents, but that doesn't mean I want to do it again.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: There are some great professors who are passionate about teaching and their subject, but you will also run into those you are just there because it is a great research school.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: We have a great communications program, but it is a sorority girl degree so expect a lot of them in your classes.

Overall Experience: You can really make this school your own. I worried about it being to big for me, but I was really able to customize what I did and did not want to be involved with to make it the right fit for me. This school is great because you can make it as small as you need it too, but you also have the opportunity to make is much bigger.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Ann Arbor is really nice when the weather is warm and fall is really pretty, but the winters can be absolutely brutal.

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many choices here. There is the really nice, high-end stuff and the greasy, open-all-night places that you want when you're walking home from a party or a long night at the library.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: This school loves it's athletes. Sports are definitely a big part of all students lives.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are some really nice and really cool people. Not everyone is an arrogant jerk like the reputation says, but those people are definitely here. There are some people who are only focused on success and their schoolwork, but then again, it is Ann Arbor and you can certainly find people who are really cool and laid-back.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: It is hard to find something in a good location that doesn't cost too much. You have to make some sacrifices, but the freedom is really nice.
