Parking: There's hardly any convenient spot on central campus, and it costs an arm and a leg. Don't drive if you don't need to. It's not worth it.

Campus Quality: The library, called the UgLi, is always noisy because there's so much activity going on all the time. Don't worry! There are tons of quiet places to study, such as the the Law Library reading room, the Graduate library stacks, and more. The Athletics facilities are state of the art, though I have limited experience with athletics! The Big House, though, is just wow!
As far as campus activities, there's always something going on somewhere! Though, they aren't always free to go to, the shows put on by different student organizations are amazing!

Campus Quality: The campus is great! Students everywhere, plenty of places to eat out, things going on all the time. It's cold a lot though, so you're probably going to limit your outdoor activities. The academics are difficult, but it's worth it!

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: If there is a crime near or on campus there is an alert sent to all of the students. Late at night there is always a police officer patrolling campus.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are so many choices for off campus dining, especially on State Street or South University. Also, many places offer delivery, even late at night.

Overall Experience: I love the University of Michigan! All of my professors have been amazing. They are willing to help and genuinely enjoy their job. Also, I love the diversity at this school.

Athletics: Athletics play a large part at the University of Michigan, especially the football!

Transportation: The transportation is great at the University of Michigan! There are "blue buses" to take students around campus and students can also use the Ann Arbor city buses for transportation. There are buses to the Chicago airport and you can get a ride to Detroit Metro airport for only $7. Also, it is easy to use the bus system. The only downside is that the buses do not always run as frequently on the weekend as they do during the week and it can take a while to get somewhere by bus on a game day.

Greek Life: I have not been around greek life that often, but on game day the parties can be crazy. There has been some issues with the frats but they were quickly handled by the university. I would say overall greek like at the University of Michigan is a great opportunity to get into.

Administration: Basically don't be an idiot and nothing will happen.

4 College Freshman

Local Area: Ann Arbor is a beautiful city and college town.

5 College Freshman

Diversity: Michigan is incredibly proactive in supporting minority communities and protecting all students' rights. It's a great community to be a part of.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I have yet to live off campus, but I did inquire early. There are many options, but due to the number of students, the options dwindle early on.

5 College Freshman

Campus Quality: Michigan is a hugely diverse university. If there's a hobby you're interested in pursuing, it's represented somewhere on campus.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: Michigan is a very safe campus. Alerts are sent out by the campus police if there is an issue.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: Michigan has a bus system that is dreadful if you're left waiting forever. Other than that, it's obviously a great system to get around easily. The stops and routes become very familiar easily.

College Freshman

Parking: I do not drive on campus, as most freshman.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Michigan has the best varsity sports around.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Honestly, drugs and alcohol can be easily avoided if that is something you do not want to be a part of. However, if you are interested, it is not a difficult thing to come by. The best thing is that whether you are involved in it or not, no one cares or makes a big deal of it.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: The dorms are great, and basically what you should expect for a higher than average dorm rating. Always clean, the university is big on recycling and any other earth-friendly type things.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: Nightlife at Michigan is mainly run by Greek life. As a female, I can get into any frat parties without much trouble. If you'd prefer non-Greek parties, however, that can be trickier. Get to know older students and that won't be a problem, however.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Ann Arbor is a wonderful city and the students of Michigan are fantastic. Everyone is very welcoming, and there are so many different types of people, it's an eye opening university. Great academics, great environment.

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: There's a wide variety of students at Michigan, so putting one label on the student body is difficult.

3 College Senior

Transportation: Buses aren't always on time.

3 College Senior

Academics: There's a fair amount of variation but specializations within the major could help.
