Transportation: Michigan's busing system provides an easy way for students without cars to get around--which is necessary due to the minimal amount of parking!

Off-Campus Dining: Ann Arbor has some of the best breakfast spots in the country! Perfect for when your family or friends are visiting.

Majors: I had an internship every summer I was at Michigan, except the summer I was studying for the LSAT. MIchigan is so reputable, I had no concerns about finding a position. TIme commitment was large and workload challenging, but it is certainly doable.

Majors: The Political Science Department has some of the best political minds in the nation. I was able to take a wide variety of courses that interested me while avoiding classes that weren't my strong suit, like international politics.

Scholarships: Financial aid was easy to obtain despite the fact that I submitted my FAFSA later than recommended. Instructions were clear and easy to follow.

Technology: Printing on campus is made easy with MPrint. I can print my papers from home and pick them up at the printer on the way to class. The only downside is that the Printers are often full of papers left behind by students.

Local Area: Ann Arbor is a college town where everyone is passionate about Michigan!

Party Scene: Once you stop going to frat houses, and find house parties and Coop parties, your life will get so much better. The people are cool and interesting, sometimes they have kegs of craft beers, life is good. Just DONT go to frats because they will make you feel dirty inside

Local Area: Ann Arbor is actually a great town! It's pretty, and has all the amenities a larger town might have, without many of the disadvantages.

Athletics: If you like sports, come here. If you don't, stay away because it's a scary cult of sports where if you don't know the name of every member of the football team or go to every football game you feel like you may well get beat up by some overzealous wolverines fans.

4 College Student

Academics: Classes are really the only redeeming factor at this institution. They may be classist, and put football players above victims of rape, but classes are definitely interesting!

Weather: Rain, snow, sleet, -30 degree weather, if you're from somewhere that knows what the sun is, DO NOT ENTER

3 College Student

Technology: They certainly do a good job, for such a huge school. There definitely are some problems with wireless etc. but generally all is good.

Greek Life: Honestly I absolutely detest pretty much everything about Greek life. I wish they would go the way of Greece itself and just die already. They are horrible places with absurd amounts of horrible, misogynistic people- as a guy, I still feel unsafe in their parties. If someone tells me that they're in a fraternity, that's an automatic notch down in my book, comparable to how I would feel if they were to tell me that they might be a little racist, or that they think women are less intelligent than men.

3 College Student

Scholarships: Honestly I can't say much about the financial aid here, but I do know that more of it is shifting from need-based to merit based, so that should help you if you're wealthy enough not to actually need any money.

4 College Student

Majors: All my classes are really interesting, and I certainly enjoy learning every week

5 College Student

Transportation: Honestly the buses run so often, and Umich students have access to city buses for free as well! They really do an excellent job with it.

3 College Student

Drug Safety: There's definitely a lot of pot, coke, booze, and pretty much anything else, but it's easy enough to avoid if you don't want to have any.

Diversity: Michigan calls itself "diverse," but it has had issues with racial inclusion since its formation. As a minority on campus I often feel like an outsider, but you have to fight for what you need/want.

Transportation: Transportation is pretty convenient. unless of course you're catching a bursley-baits bus. But buses are normally consistent.

Administration: Michigan isn't strict at all, unless you're doing something illegal of course or if you're parked somewhere you shouldn't be, but if you're going to do something illegal at least be smart enough not to get caught

4 College Freshman

Academics: Nursing is hard. I believe that it's a "weeder" major. Sort of like survival of the fittest: only the strong survive. You will lose lots of sleep, you may even fail an exam, but don't fail a course or you will be placed on probation, and failing another course will get you kicked out of the nursing program.

4 College Freshman

Health & Safety: they have "blue lights" to press in case of an emergency, police response is also rather quick

5 College Freshman

Party Scene: There is always something to do. If you want to party, you can. If you want to just "chill," you can do that to. Also, not much pressure to party.
