College Freshman

Greek Life: I am indifferent to Greek Life, and I do not participate in any sort of functions of Greek Life.

5 College Freshman

Majors: We are the number one public university in the country; you are going to get a spectacular education. Professors are in the top of their field, and there are plenty of opportunity to get experience in whatever field you choose.

Campus Housing: I live in East Quad, and basically it's like living in a hotel. Enough said.

Local Area: We are Ann Arbor. We are fully integrated into the city, so if you like city life, this is the place to be. There are always people bustling about, plenty of excellent food (PIZZA HOUSE/COTTAGE INN), and other explorative things. We also have the Arboretum for those times when you want to get away from people. Because who doesn't want to climb a tree.

Off-Campus Housing: Off-campus is pretty challenging to find if you're on a budget, but it's not impossible. It's still cheaper than living in these dorms...

Health & Safety: Sexual assault is a problem, and counter-measures are hard to bring about. There are countless numbers of students that are actively involved in the fight against sexual assault. Things can be handled better, however, it's an ongoing process.

Administration: This university is probably like most others. It has it's good, and bad aspects. People are here to be successful, and some people are here to party. You can find your niche and do what you like doing.

4 College Junior

Majors: Lots of opportunities for internships are available through my department and out alumni network is extensive, which has proven helpful for me in finding work.

4 College Junior

Party Scene: The party scene at Michigan is pretty decent, especially during the biggest sporting events.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: The campus is very well lit, but late night walks can still be somewhat scary if you are alone. Overall, I feel pretty safe here.

Campus Housing: Bursley is just an awful place to live, but the rooms are big.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: Have not had much experience with it.

1 College Freshman

Greek Life: You pay to have friends.

5 College Freshman

Local Area: Everyone is great and you're never bored.

2 College Freshman

Scholarships: I've never been so frustrated.

Whether they are looking for academics, athletics, or social outlets, Michigan fits the bill: In addition to its highly-ranked academics, it has a highly respected athletic reputation, and Ann Arbor's atmosphere is one to be envied, consisting of restaurants, shops, bars, and much more. Michigan alumni are expansive in both numbers and location. Michigan's alumni network is one of the largest, with many individuals holding vital positions in their respective industries.
