2 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: The two closest off-campus housing choices are the apartment complexes. Both are outrageously priced. Have not lived in Peninsula but the apartments are nice looking inside, but expensive. Harbor Point is less expensive but still ridiculous. Hate living here, security is strict and the apartment has had way too many problems which take far too long to deal with.

College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Don't often eat in off-campus restaurants. Generally eat at home.

4 College Freshman

Administration: The administration doesn't have any effect on the parties/alcohol/noise, that's all taken care of by the apartment security (very strict assholes). School administration is good.

2 College Freshman

Party Scene: Hard to find parties, when you do they get busted. The cops who bust them are absolute douches; they take IDs of party-goers, and file reports. (even on first offenses)

5 College Freshman

Scholarships: Received a full scholarship for the school for all for years, so long as I sustain the required minimum GPA

College Freshman

Campus Food: Hardly eat on campus. Have eaten in Quinn building, the soups were good.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: There is no on-campus housing offered at UMass Boston.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Can use a lot of improvement.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: It is okay, but not very safe nor do I find that the rent is reasonable. It is a ripoff to live where I am living currently.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: It's a major city so it is pretty good quality/options.

3 College Freshman

Party Scene: It is just okay, not very exciting and usually there are noise complains that lead it to being shut down very early in the night.

1 College Freshman

Scholarships: I applied for financial aid but do not receive any. There are hardly any scholarship opportunities for me, which is not fair/does not make sense because I do not receive any financial support. I need scholarship money.

1 College Freshman

Campus Food: it is awful quality food and it is impossible to find healthy food options. Also there are hardly any options and it's always the same old crap for every single meal.

1 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It is a commuter school so there is not campus housing, however, most people live in the Harbor Point Apartments across the street from UMass Boston and they are of very poor quality.

3 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Most people do not talk to each other if they don't know each other. They tend to keep to themselves.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The classes i've taken are good and I enjoy them very much. I do not like how confusing and hard to understand the financial part of the college experience is.

4 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Most professors are very attentive and very helpful. They try to help the best they can. Class sizes are usually small to medium. There is a great variety of classes in this college, but many of them are not very interesting, at least not to me.

3 College Freshman

Overall Experience: They have many opportunities available during the summer and jobs are available, but not many. Career center is helpful, but you need to have some idea of what you might want to do.

3 College Freshman

Health & Safety: It is average I guess. There are no much talks of sexual assaults and things of such here. The police are all around to prevent such things from happening.

College Freshman

Athletics: Students that do not participate in sports, varsity or intramurals, do not really care much for team performance and fan support. For those who play sports, those students are very excited and there is some school spirit.

College Freshman

Greek Life: There are no dorms here therefore I believe there are no fraternities or sororities

College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I am a commuter and I have only been to a friend's house once so I am not sure what it is like living near the school

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: You most likely will need to go to Boston to find variety

4 College Freshman

Administration: There haven't been any major incidents involving students. Everyone follows the policies and rules

College Freshman

Party Scene: It is a mostly commuter school and most people have tons of homework and work to attend to, therefore there aren't a whole lot of parties.
