4 College Freshman

Scholarships: I didn't have much experience dealing with the financial aid office, but they answered my questions when I had them.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I would rate the financial aid in between bad and okay. At first I did indeed receive the financial aid and scholarship I needed - I got a high UMass grant and a work study. However, when it was updated a month or so later, more than half of my grant was gone as well as my work study. I was only left with my tuition waiver from MCAS and loans. I was not very pleased with the financial aid process this year and I hope that next year it works out better and smoother. One tip would be to definitely try and apply for financial aid, even if you do not think you will receive any. It does not cost anything so it is worth a try. You never know what could happen!

3 College Junior

Scholarships: Although I received enough financial aid, many of my friends have really bad experiences with financial aid

4 College Sophomore

Scholarships: The financial aid process is very simple, just email in some forms and then the school does all the work making the decision whether or not to give students aid. To receive financial aid at my school, tips would be to earn good grades and also check out the scholarships within each department/college.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: The university it so large and there are so many students that not everyone can get the amount of scholarships and finical aid they need. I personally got what I needed but I am paying for it. If I had any tips it would be to call the bursar's office and ask to see if the university has any scholarships that you qualify for.
