3 College Junior

Drug Safety: The drugs on campus is okay but i do not know anything about the drugs on campus.

2 Recent Alumnus

Drug Safety: The drug scene at my school is steadily increasing. Most students do partake in marijuana usage and are becoming to be more public about it. I would not be surprised if students drug usage began to affect their performance in school.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Many students do not show the alcohol on campus, but the effects of drinking is easily seen on most students especially after parties.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: there's always going to be someone willing to buy underage students a drink. that can't be avoided. but a majority of the campus is high on a regular basis. there's people who grow the stuff in arden's, talons, eveywhere! and the police do nothing! it's baffling!

Drugs are not a noticeable part of the atmosphere at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, but there are some drugs on campus. However, the University is very strict about making sure UMES is a drug-free zone, and there are serious consequences to doing any drugs while on campus. Therefore, drug use is not very visible because nobody wants to get caught using drugs. The penalties for violations are serious—students will be suspended or expelled if caught participating in these activities.

Alcohol is more noticeable on campus, and most times, students get in trouble for underage drinking. Upperclassmen may try to influence some freshmen into engaging in such activities, but it all depends on the company you keep and where you stay. But as long as you remember the morals you were taught at home, you should be well prepared to face temptation in college.
