Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining isn't close in order to get to it you need a car. And most of the places close early even on weekends. And there are not to many places that deliver to our school.

Administration: The campus is very strict about your safety. They keep police around the dorms and apartment to monitor the area and ensure everyone's safety. And they keep several emergency around campus.

Party Scene: I'm not to sure about the party scene because I don't go to any. I'm not sure about how they are or the atmosphere of them or the people who go to them.

Scholarships: Financial aid process can be stressful. You have to make sure you complete the FAFSA by the due date, you have to try to apply for scholarships and hope you get them the whole process can just get overwhelming. The people in the financial aid office are welcoming, they want you to ask questions and get all the information you need.

Campus Food: The chick-fil-a is great. The cafe itself some days the food is ok. Some days you don't know what you're going to get. Some days they barely have anything. Going to the cafe is like gambling because you never know what your going to get when you go

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great. It's close to classes and you have close access to a lot of what the campus has to offer. Living on campus you never have to go to far the library, gym, financial aid, tutoring opportunities, are all close to you. As far as housing the dorm I live is cool. We have really great residence life person we have 3 cool RA's for each floor and they all just try to make us feel comfortable. They give us advice, help with hw, and answer all of our questions.

Scholarships: Having financial aid is the best because it saves your family money on your school and its best if you fill out applications for them early every year.

Off-Campus Housing: Living off campus is nice. The rooms are like having your own apartment and there is plenty of parking and just about anybody who isn't a freshman can chose to live off camous

Off-Campus Dining: There's McDonalds, Popeyes, Hardee's, Pizza Hut, Royal Farms, China Chef. The restaurants all except our school cards which gives us another alternative to pay which I find great.

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining gives you more options compared to the café. The Café sometimes repeats the food too many times not a lot of great options most of the time. Off campus dining gives you better choices to chose from that will satisfy you. Off campus dining includes two different pizza places, Chinese food ,Popeye's, and McDonald's. There are many more options ( Subway , Denny's ,and if you go into Salisbury you will have even more options.) Chipotle ,Wendy's , Checkers , Jersey Mike's , and Cookout .Red Lobster, Dairy Queen , Applebeas , Golden Corral ,and Chili's .

Local Area: Needs improvement , campus is isolated , and limited amount of what you can do .

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: My school has two gyms that allow you to work out , exercise science classes ,and limited access to it. The students show their school spirit during games and homecoming week events. Students come out to support the lady hawks and the men when they play.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The different options are good but it depends on the room size that decides if you have the best room. Clusters is the hardest housing to get in to because students prefer Clusters as a first option. Student Apartments are the second best and also fill up fast. Ardens is one of the most expensive housing but is liked by many students that own a car. Talons and Hawk's Landing would be the next options of students that own a car.

College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I only visited the health care office only one with a friend . I have not visited the health care office daily so I can't really say much about health care offered at UMES.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is a great school because it’s not far from home for the many students who come from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area and tuition is not extremely expensive. Another plus is that the campus is large but the student body is not. This allows students and teachers to make and maintain great relationships. The availability of classes and other resources is another plus here.

And the University is only on the rise. Buildings have been added and the campus is expanding, which has allowed for the number of students, faculty, and programs on campus to grow, as well. Recent programs that have become available at UMES include aviation and pharmacy, which have brought good media attention to the campus, and in turn, brings even more students to the University. These great programs and others make it nearly impossible for a student not to find a job or go on to grad school after graduating with a bachelor’s from UMES. The University’s uniqueness is what brings students to the campus. No other campus has the same levels of diversity, individuality, and family-oriented spirit that is found at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
