While it may be difficult to want to be in class when the weather is nice, it is still important to attend every class. Professors are often very understanding as they are stuck inside with you as well. If the weather is inclement, be sure to call the university to see if they will still be holding classes. This is especially important if you are driving from a distance away to attend class. If classes are not cancelled and the weather is poor, allow yourself more time to arrive. Professors are generally forgiving about tardiness when the weather is unfavorable. Always attend class!

The computer labs at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore get crowded very quickly. During mid-terms and finals you almost can never find a computer or even a table to sit at. Students bring their own personal computer which is always helpful via WIFI. Connection in the dorms and off campus housing is a huge problem and we dont have enough IT personnel to address every concern. Mainly because there is no wireless access in those areas which would be helpful. Recently, we received a new printing system and majority of the students dislike it. The time it takes to print is unacceptable. The only convenience to the new system is where each kiosk is located. Thirty dollars to print for entire semester is ridiculous!

UMES offer a lot of rare majors. I call them rare majors because a lot of maryland schools dont have these programs. Aviation science,Animal science, and physical therapy. Besides the physical therapy major, most of these majors are Majority white students. Most of the student are SOOO lazy and prefer classes where you dont have to study so they have more time to party. they become criminal justice, business, sociology or human ecology majors... Even as a Biology major i hear my classmates say thing like, "Do we have to kno ALL of the parts of the body". ((Like duuuhhh! You are in an anatomy class??!)) IDK its truly depressing who they give "second chances" to. Many of the student DO NOT belong in college. But umes lets in anyone who is breathing with a pulse. Another thing.. finding internships on campus is almost non existent. i say almost because they offer some really good internships for animal science majors. And the few students that actually (avoid pregnancy, or academic dismissal) continue to graduate. They usually dont have a job.
