Campus Food

{{ error }}
4 College Sophomore

Campus Food: Despite what people have said about Seaco, it's pretty good usually. Everywhere else is good. It's all just a matter of opinion. The only thing I would complain about is excess meal swipes at the end of the semester and not being able to get the money back.

2 College Freshman

Campus Food: I would rather buy somewhere outside than on campus food. It's just that awful.

4 College Freshman

Campus Food: Each place is unique and offers different options for students, flex options are great and the meal swipe meals are great as well.

3 College Junior

Campus Food: The prices for the meal plans seems a bit expensive compared to how much food you can get with them.

3 College Freshman

Campus Food: The dining halls are not too bad. However, I wish there was more of a variety of food and flexible hours for the dining halls. My two favorite places to go are the Underground and the Nest. I get what I pay for when I decide to dine in these two dining halls.

While the University is improving the overall diversity at the University, students find that there seems to be little improvement in the diversity of the food options at Mary Washington. The food is decent, but the options are limited, and the food tends to be very repetitive. In the defense of Mary Washington, it is a small school; thus, the administration seems to feel that only three dining halls are adequate. Overall, though, the University does satisfy the categories of the food pyramid. There are healthy options, greasy options, snack options, entrée options, and of course, vegan options.

Although The Underground is the smaller of the school's dining hall counterparts, it tends to be the most popular one throughout the day. The food at The Underground is healthier and more filling than the other halls, with its vegan options, sandwiches, soups, dips, and even frozen yogurt. The Underground and The Eagle's Nest both tend to be more popular than Seacobeck, which is known to be a repetitive buffet-style dining hall. Halfway through the semester, students tend to tire of the food and make frequent visits to the Giant across the street to stash better quality food in their dorm rooms.
