Advice on Finding a Job/Internship
The Career Development Center offers advising and links job-seeking students and alumni with employers. The advising office provides fact sheets about potential careers in almost every major. and career coaches provide résumé advice, interview preparation, and grad school preparation and assistance. Internship opportunities are usually handled with e-mails and postings from professors and department heads. Job and career fairs, both University-wide and major-specific, are hosted several times throughout the year. Students and alumni can also create an account on Symplicity, a free online career management system to view part-time and full-time jobs, work study, internships, and co-ops.
