At the University of Louisiana at Monroe, athletics is a big part of campus, but it is not everything. Last season may have possibly been the worst season for the football team in the school's history. The water ski team has one over 20 national championship titles. The basketball team has come very close to winning the Sun Belt Conference title. Other sports such as soccer, softball, baseball, both sand and indoor volleyball don't get as much recognition as the previous sports but they do receive some.

Other than the trouble with campus security, it's a great school! Always something to do, and it's very welcoming.

I didn't expect much much from this school from the very beginning because it was one of my safety schools. However, I have come to like it mainly because of the people and professors here. I found professors were very helpful. Our math professor, for example, didn't mind teaching extra classes so that those who have difficulty can benefit. Similarly our English Composition professor continued coming to the University, although she didn't have to because the semester was already over, to help us with our papers.

Everyone else too I find very helpful and kind.

However, there aren't many courses you can choose from and that's a very weak point.
