Seriously, ULM academics are beyond outstanding! Whether you are in a smaller classroom setting or a classroom with over 100 students, I've noticed that these teachers actually care about their students. I've experienced great teachers in both types of classroom settings. The professors here are amazingly qualified and experienced, and the best part is that they try their best to make sure you are more than prepared when you leave the university. One of my professors actually conducted a study session on a Friday (because we didn't have class on this day) so that we could be even more prepared for the exam the following week! I'm a pre-pharmacy major, and I'm sure with great academics offered at ULM, I'll be more than ready for the PCAT and pharmacy school!

The Best of ULM! ULM has a great way of getting students together by using the many social events given through out the school year. Some of things events are The Meet and Greets, Week of Welcome, Browse on the Bayou and the annual Crawfish Boils. These events consist of great food, music, games, and several chances to win things like ipods, computers, tv's and food at local resturants. Everyone loves reading the Hawkeye which is the school's newspaper. It is filled with important dates and datelines, upcoming events, games, and has a hilarious comic selection. The teachers are very helpful and understanding. There are always postings on the information boards in the halls for tutors. The teachers at ULM give one on one help to each student as they possibly can. The campus is clean and gives the students a warm feeling like they are at home.

I am a radiologic technology major. We are very closely related to nursing and dental hygiene majors. All three of those majors require most of the same classes. I love my major. We have a GREAT reputation for producing high quality students in all three areas. However, these three medical majors are EXTREMELY difficult. You must be prepared to work hard. You never really have time to party or do lots of social activities. You will be studying all the time. But, it is definitely worth it. We have a great, secure job to look forward to after graduation!
